“Thank God there are still places like this on Long Island. Old school Italian deli. I stopped by because I was in the area and read the reviews. Ordered an Italian hero with hot cherry peppers. Just delicious. Ate half brought my wife the rest. Ofcourse I can't wait for the hero to be made and not grab a Manhattan special vanilla creme soda.... and a fresh Mozz.... and a loaf of Italian bread.. lol. “On April 19th placed an order for pick their Easter Special roasted honey turkey, honey baked ham and side dishes. The staff members helpful, polite and courteous. My Easter dinner delicious. The food is way better now. The staff is cool.

My favorite hot lunch is grilled chicken with provolone and Russian dressing on a plain wrap.

Get one of their sandwiches (I recommend corned beef) and for about 12 bucks you have a fine lunch or dinner.“

“La Fonda Deli is amazing! The food tastes authentic and is made with fresh ingredients which really makes a difference. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect to enjoy with family or friends. I tried the pupusas and the stewed chicken, and both were delicious! Also, the staff was very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Definitely a place I will be returning to soon. “Ladies and gentlemen, this is THE place to eat. They serve a massive variety of foods for all three meals. There's a hot bar, meats, acai bowls, omelettes, bagels, egg sandwiches, regular sandwiches, subs, deli, smoothies, juices, fruit.….EVERYTHING!!!
No matter what we ordered here, it was delicious and fairly priced.

“Right across the street from the local 711. They have everything the 711 has except in some instances cheaper. There is never a wait and due to the fact that it is "mom and pop", they go out of their way to cater to your individual needs.“

I had the best Spanish/Western breakfast omelet I have eaten in a very long time. First of all, the omelet was not greasy, the vegetables were fresh, and it was a 3-egg omelet. The side of potatoes were boiled to perfection, lightly seasoned and pan fried. If you live in Port Washington this is the place to go for a terrific egg breakfast plus the coffee was fabulous!!! “Around 1970 or so, there were two delis on Jericho Turnpike, Johnny’s and Werner’s. (honorable mention to Ardito’s, which is still there and apparently still owned by the Ardito’s). I noticed Werner’s was still there. Werner must be about 100 years old by now. When I checked it out I learned Werner’s isn’t really Werner’s anymore. I read a review that said the new owners would have made Werner proud. I have to agree. A little less emphasis on salads and catering, but great selection of specialty sandwiches, excellent fresh bread and rolls, and fair prices.“

The people are top notch and always there to assist you in anyway possible. I recommend this spot to anybody any day of the week.
