On Friday we had their Street Tacos and today we had their Tako Bowls! This may be a small place, but their flavors are not!! Amazing food and great portions! “My goodness, we recently moved into the neighborhood and we have tried a few sushi joints in the past couple of months. We have tried Mr. J's several time and I must say, it's probably the best sushi in the area. The quality of the ingredients is very good, extremely fresh, they use very little rice so you can actually taste the ingredients, and they roll the sushi really tightly so that it doesn't fall apart if you breathe a little too close.

The owners are extremely friendly, the restaurant clearly focuses on the quality of their takeout since they don't have any tables, which is great because they can focus on cranking out bags and bags of orders. The more you order, they give you free rolls which is really nice. Even my kid, who is a little picky, crushes his spicy kani rolls, not a single grain of rice left, which makes me really happy. Nothing fancy, but they consistently serve great quality food and service with a friendly smile. Can't ask for anything more.

Seems she took our order and disappeared. But the server assistants were on point. Dinner was really good. We will go back… because of the food. Even the manager walked pasted us a dozen times. “First of all just want to say the lobster bisque and New England clam chowder are both amazing. My family and I have tried pretty much everything here and never disappointed.
They make there own juices and desserts. So it’s fresh just like the food. Everything cooked when ordered.

“We love going to Foster—at this point, you could say we’re regulars. We typically sit at the bar. We especially love their specials, and I’m still thinking about the elk burger I had last year (please bring it back!).The oysters are always fresh and delicious, and the fried chicken is absolutely amazing. Recently, I’ve been loving the salmon with corn and shishito succotash and blueberry teriyaki. Honestly, everything is consistently fresh and delicious.

John, the bartender, makes excellent cocktails—many with fun names like Silence of the Lambrusco. He puts a lot of care into his craft, from house-infused ingredients to thoughtful presentation. He also always keeps you hydrated with their house water, which I truly appreciate.

Happy hour is a great deal and is available at the bar only, Wednesday through Sunday from 5:00–7:00 pm, and all night on Mondays. We love ordering the wood-fired Margherita pizza and fried chicken wings for $12.36, along with their house margarita at $10.30—delicious and affordable.

When we do get a table, the service is always spot on.
