An extensive wine and cooler collection but what really makes the visit worthwhile is the AMAZING server who was very friendly, bright and you can tell she loved her job! She learned it was my birthday and gave me a complimentary Pink lemonade slushee!! It’s the small kind gestures that make your day and ensure you’ll always come back again! They also have a full calendar of events during the week to check out such as a Taco truck, BBQ night and even a Jazz band! If you’re in Hamburg and a laidback situation is your vibe, drop in! “Great first day at Spotted Octopus in Rochester! Loved the beer, food and especially the service. The new systems threw the team a few curveballs, but the staff kept their cool and made customer satisfaction the #1 focus. Opening on parade day proved to be the perfect pressure test and they definitely succeeded.“

“This place is worth making a point to visit! We will be back! The beers we tried were very good - and they have something that would fit all palates. (Im an IPA girl, and hubby is a lager guy). They also have a full bar and their own specialty drink menu —I described my drink preferences to the bar tender- and he made THE best choice for me. The bartender also had a lot of info regarding the history of the place - you could tell he liked working there. (He’s probably the reason we would return— great service and very friendly). When I say hands down the best burger I have had we ordered the loaded fries to share and as my daughter says mom ... this is awesome . the staff was amazing and the cook even came out and talked . “Staff, food, drinks and atmosphere were all amazing! We were going to be in Amherst for a softball tournament and reached out to Pour Taproom to host a team/family dinner. It was perfect. We had a designated section reserved for our group. The girls got to sit together and bond, younger siblings were kept entertained playing some of the numerous games the restaurant had on hand and the adults got to relax while enjoying some tasty food and drinks. Parents were still talking about that dinner a week later. 10/10. Would highly recommend.“

“TeLly fun place, excellent whiskey and craft beer selection, great craft cocktails esp. the Espresso Martini. Food is limited to specialty sandwiches and pizzas both are worth having. Theater themed vibe with old black and white movies playing. A cool place to hang out.“

“I hosted a baby shower at Magruders yesterday and everything was phenomenal! We had beef rollups, and baked chicken, which was beyond delicious!! Along with homemade mashed potatoes, corn, pasta, salad and rolls. Shannon was perfect from helping plan the event to making sure everyone was happy the day of party. “This place is a hidden gem. The prices can’t be beat, period. $6 pizza on Wednesdays and it’s GOOD! $6 subs on Thursday?! Where else can you find that? Drinks are MORE than reasonable all day everyday and the weekend specials are unheard of. Large and 20 for under $30. Only gripe is the manager, but he’s rarely around. The bar staff is wonderful!“

“Never been disappointed by this place! Friendly staff and delicious food. We just killed a Hollywood Pizza, but subbed in the Laura’s Sweet Sauce because it’s the only sauce for me. Great food, great drinks, great service!“
