“Just moved to the area recently. Was craving Chinese food was nervous to try a new spot but figured to give it a shot. Called, the guy was very nice whoever answered the phone. Went to pick up the phone and it was done within 15 minutes. Food was hot and fresh. I got a little bit of everything. Didn’t like so much of the beef I got with the broccoli. Tried a piece and tasted little weird. Everything else was delicious. I got egg/shrimp roll, vegetable fried and white rice, beef and broccoli and the sesame chicken was very good. I would recommend ordering from here and eating the food. The prices were reasonable as well. Happy with their service.“

“Their house special egg Foo young is something amazing. The combination of ingredients is always fresh which leaves every bite tasting like the first. I've tried most of the dishes and they are excellent, the Mei fun is another favorite and texture powerhouse. A must try spot.“

“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!“

“I remember when Szechuan City first opened how exciting it was to have some new Chinese food in the area. New owners, new ideas, new recipes...all great...for a while at least. After a short time they started to dip down in the consistency of the food...So we stopped ordering from them for quite some time. A little while ago we tried ordering again because we had some workers over helping out in the yard and they chose Chinese as the flavor profile for lunch. Wouldn't you know it...the food was excellent and everyone had great reviews, including us. Happy to say we are back to ordering from them again. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for good Chinese food in the area!!!“

“After years of eating at all the local spots (Bamboo Garden, Peking, and New Great Wall) I can honestly say this is the BEST Chinese food I’ve had in White Plains. The extra drive is absolutely worth it. Portions are “old school” big, prices run about $2 to $3 less than other places, and they always throw in something extra for free. The egg rolls taste just like the ones you remember as a kid, and the boneless spare ribs were superb (IMO). My wife, who usually gets headaches when MSG is used, had no issues here, which says a lot. Just a heads up that it’s cash only and they don’t deliver, but honestly, that’s no big deal when you can eat this well without it costing an arm and a leg!“

“Typical family run Chinese takeout. I am trying different Chinese takeout out places in this area and try to support local businesses when I can.

Aesthetically, there is a tiny front area to pick up and order food from. There was a single folding table that someone was eating at. The tiny strip parking lot was crowded with cars from other stores and the spaces were cramped.

The picture-overhead menu was typical, with generic pictures of the plates - seemed dated but this is typical.

The counter person took my order and was friendly.

I ordered a half dozen dishes totaling over $40 as take out for 2 people. Food arrived quickly with barely a 10 minute wait.

Shrimp Chow Fun: (not bad)
most take out restaurants have a ‘browner’ sauce and usually heavier oil. This was a little bland by comparison but not bad. Vegetables were crisp and fresh, the rice noodles were not bloated and a little soy sauce to season to taste - as you like it is all that is required. Shrimp
Content was adequate.

Boneless Ribs: (solid!)
A barometer for me, Some have a runny bbq sauce while others might make it too dry. I actually would rate this amongst the best as the sauce was not too heavy, and not runny. It was flavorful and the pork had a bit of a sear but not dry. I would recommend this over white rice.

Wonton Soup:(recommended)
The wontons were not mushy or bloated. The broth was savory and tasty. The scallions were a delicious touch. One of the better offerings in the area.

Chicken with garlic sauce:(not bad)
Vegetables were all crispy and fresh. The chicken was moist. The sauce was a little on the light side- could have had a little more bite for my taste but overall, a good dish.

Hunan pork: (not bad)
Similar overall review as with the Chicken with garlic sauce. Fresh and tasty, perhaps a little on the bland side but not bad overall.

I would order from here again.“

“Simple walk-in & order style chinese spot.
Prices are very fair. I think these are the best Chinese BBQ ribs in the area. The wonton soup is also good and can really satisfy a cold. There is a slight black pepper taste to it.

I always get what I expect and am always left feeling satisfied.“

Lastly, it’s a hole in the wall place. Don’t expect a sumptuous decor, expect sumptuous vittles!“

“For a long time I've been in search for a good Chinese takeout restaurant in Rockland. China King in New City USED to be really good. But they've gone down in quality. Now, I think there's a new King in town. I've eaten at Great Wall about 5 times in the past 3 weeks and I think this is easily the best Chinese food in Rockland. “I always order from your establishment. The food is delicious. However, tonight I ordered through beyond menu and placed and order to be delivered at 7pm. I called the restaurant around 730pm.. The woman that was there answered the phone and apologized saying” She never saw the order and the food will be made right away. I wound up showing up to pick up the food. The woman at the front counter was the same woman that answered the phone. She was beyond disgusting and rude to another customer. Telling this customer she didn’t pay and her card had to be charged. Then she starts talking to me and I showed her that I paid. She told me “I wasn’t talking to you.” I responded with “There is no reason for you to be nasty!” She responded with “ We are very busy.” Then a tall man proceeded to hand me the food I ordered. She said something me and once again I turned around and responded “Learn to talk to people, there is no reason for you to be nasty!” I walked out with the food.I do not care if there is a line out the door or you are busy. There is no reason for someone to disgustingly nasty and rude!“

“This is my new favorite restaurant, serving a variety of Chinese foods not found in other Rockland County Chinese restaurants. The place is a little small but nicely decorated and comfortable. The menu highlights what you expect from the name, dumplings. These dumplings filled with shrimp, pork, pork and Napa cabbage and crab are qualitatively different from other local offerings in that they are delicate, filled fully but with thinner wrapping. There are fluffy yet chewy rolls filled with choices of duck, pork belly, cucumbers and other vegetables. Noodle soups that are Japanese, Korean or Chinese, again with various meats and vegetarian options. Their chicken wings are wonderfully sauced while retaining a perfect crispness. Another novel and delicious dish is their sweet and sour rib pieces. These are small nuggets of spare ribs, on the bone, that are covered with soft and chewy pork. The growing menu offers more traditional dishes as well.
The food here has been consistently excellent over the four times we've had take-out from Dumpling House. The food here is priced on the higher side, but for the quality and variety of this cuisine, we feel that it is well worth it. The young staff are pleasant and friendly and eager to help with selections from the menu when asked.“

Everything was exceptional with large portions and the food was ready for pickup very fast.

Cash only and mostly to go orders, very few tables. Best to call your order in.

I particularly recommend the Dragon and Shogun rolls – a must-try for any eel and cream cheese enthusiast! It was a Takeout order, I found the food to taste very fresh, the Vegetables and rice were delicious. The chicken was tender as well. The service was fast and friendly.
