“Stopped in for a quick bite to eat. I was confused about Tabasco at first…thinking it was the sauce. They explained Tabasco is an area in Mexico so the item we ordered (Tabasco Spring Roll) wasn’t made with the hot sauce. It was delish. The restaurant was a little dark - could have had brighter lights. Maybe lighter colors inside. Also, had a section where they were selling items. I bought a Frieda Kahlo mug.“

“2/7/2024I have never been to a Bubbakoo's location, so my friend and I did not know what to expect. Walking in, the space felt very welcoming, and were greeted by smiles by the staff! I decided to get the Mango Habanero Salad with the hard shell base. It was love at first bite.. the salad had the perfect combination of sweet, salty, and the juices from the meat were very savory. My friend got a quesadilla with chicken; she is sensitive to spice.. and the staff were very understanding and avoided adding any spice. I took a bite of her quesadilla and I loved it!I regret not asking for their names, but the man with the arm tattoos went above and beyond with his customer service! He even gave us a free dessert- and that was also very delicious! As you may note, I have never written a review.. that is how amazed we are by the service this location has given to us. Bubbakoo's has gained two VERY LOYAL customers to their New City location.. and I hope everyone gets to try the very delicious TRULY Mexican Fusion and meet the very friendly staff! THANK YOU!!!!“

“I went earlier today(01/15/2023), and this has become my most "NEW FAVORITE HISPANIC FOOD PLACE." The service and hospitality are extremely outstanding. The staff is patient and understanding if you're new and friendly enough to suggest some of the locals' favorites. They have some amazing specials. I loved that the staff was open to customization and embraced my creativity nature. Despite me currently visiting from Las Vegas, NV, I was blown away by the burrito I customized. Granted, it isn't my own creation, although a recreation of an already well-known burrito with accommodation due to my lactose intolerance. It still impressed me for a California style burrito to taste so flavorful without any cheese or sour cream. Even the complimentary chips and salsa were beautifully made. I can't forget about the Orchata as well. It is the best damn Orchta's I ever had! This place is definitely a locals hidden gem that wowed me away. You can tell that a lot of care and love definitely goes into each meal that is created in their kitchen, and this is rare to come by nowadays! I plan to come back before I fly out to. See you soon and keep up the marvelous work! ( :“

“The best place to go for Mexican food ina 10 miles radius.Their plates are delicious for all different people. I enjoy the burrito de carne.I enjoy the tacos ? , the ones made with beef (de asado). I like when they make the guacamole next to your table and they ask you what you want to add to your guacamole...with spicy, tomate, lettuce, lime, onions. The super nachos are delicious and taste. Also the flautas (tacos dorados) are amazing ?Quesadillas..mmmm you have to try them. They are an authentic Mexican cuisine (owner ruben from Guadalaja, ??), they have all kinds of Mexican drinks...their specialized in margaritas, they have frozen style or on the rocks...I hear they are the best in Westchester.I can keep writing about my experiences in many years I went to rubens but it will be better if you go and try all and let everyone about your own experience. On the Weekends they transform the restaurant ina big place to dance and have drinks? , ? dance. “Not familiar with the area so I just picked from the phone map app. Brought us to a busy street, with a lot of eateries and so much Halloween decor. Coco's is a small place, with 3 tables and a window seating area for 3 people. But, so many people going in and out. Luckily, there was a table when we got there. We ordered at the counter and someone brought the food to our table. Pretty big menu so we tried some food which were new to us. Pancita is a red, spicy soup with tripe, served with soft tortillas. Seemed like a soup with a lot of chili-type oil so wasn't for me; I just ate the tripe pieces with rice and beans and I liked that better. Chimichanga was fried, filled with a lot of shredded beef and cheese - a bit salty so needed to eat with the salad and rice and beans it came with. Lengua tacos were ok, no distinct flavor or texture for me. Elote de la esquina was boiled corn (not grilled) with a generous amount of cotija cheese and red pepper but was neither too salty or too spicy, which was good for me. Smart to put in a tall plastic drink container.Street parking - we were lucky to find one nearby though.“

“There aren’t a ton of Mexican options around our area (that I’ve found anyway) so I was excited to try this one out when we found it. It was pretty good. We tried the chicken enchiladas, tacos (chorizo, shrimp, and beef), fries (of course), and the chips and guac. Everything was pretty good, some parts were a little dry. It’s a very small hole in the wall and the wait time was really long. It took about 45 minutes for our pick up to be ready which I thought was pretty long. Overall, it was okay and I’d go back to try something else.I was a little disappointed to see them still using styrofoam containers and would love to see them switch to something more eco friendly.“

“Top notch Mexican food at a great price. Aquas frescas are amazing, authentic, and at least 20 fl. oz. Prices are perfect. Small dining room, but they do not cramp the tables together. Spanish-language talk shows or telenovelas on a 50" screen blare their Central- and South-American equivalents of nonsense TV. It all makes for a perfect combination of a good lunch somewhere. The food is top notch, with the chips/salsa plentiful. Want guac? It's homemade and, if I recall, $8 for a ton of it. Their plates will overwhelm you, again, for a reasonable price. Plus, seasonings are spot on.You have to go there. Tip well. I know I will again after a luncheon there once upon a random time.“

“The Taco Project is a cool restaurant. Loved the vibe and the food was pretty good.Food: So, let's taco 'bout this place! I dove into the Chili Shrimp and Mexican Corn Tacos, while my buddy tackled the Birria Bowl. The shrimp had some killer flavors, especially after I added a squirt of salsa verde for that extra kick. Only gripe? Wish they offered singles so I could mix it up. And those tortillas? Super tasty, but man, double 'em up next time to avoid the messy "blowout" situation. He loved the Birra Bowl. Super filling and satisfying. I also like that they have Margaritas, a nice surprise. Now, onto service: These guys were the real MVPs. Despite the fast-casual setup, they kept tables clean and were all over the dining area like pros.Vibe-wise? Cool as a cucumber. Digging the décor and that sunny corner spot, even on a gloomy day. “This place checks all the boxes for an authentic, family run, home-cooked experience. The menu is a mishmash of printed page and handwriting, the staff and clientele are nearly all Spanish speaking, it is spotless for dirt and there is Mexican football on the telly. The food is good. It's not fancy, and that should keep the snobs away, but it has the essential combination of scent, visuals, taste and the inner warmth a cook who loves a dish can make. You can do the El Typico half chicken, tacos which my sons say are rocking, steak platters in all their various combinations, and these wee Jammie cake style pupusa things. A novelty for me, very popular in Latin America apparently, they are enclosed buckwheat pancakes with a choice of fillings. Some of which you've never heard of, so try them. This is grass roots cooking, and I am a fan. In a low sodium World, the tropical propensity for salt is punkette, the spice combinations are unfamiliar but pleasing. Part of the meal I ate was a little dry, but that's what the excellent salsa is for, and everyone at the table is coming back. There is no booze, which is a good thing in working mens establishments playing football, and the while the drinks selection is authentic it is limited. Expect to pay fifteen bucks a head per adult, leaving plenty of opportunity for a jumbo tip. Don't go if you are stuck up.“
