Our family was meeting in Brewster NY/Danbury CT for a wedding. Flying into JFK from CA one of us was designated to stop at Oxford for a full order of pastry and breads before before joining the rest of the family. This is a standard procedure whenever visiting. Oxford Bakery is old school. The prices are reasonable and everything is fresh. I was turned on to this place about 10 years ago, when my mother-in-law's aide picked up a cake for her birthday. It was amazing! That old school New York bakery cake with the moist cake and beautiful buttercream frosting; brought me right back to my childhood. Best fresh baked rolls this side of town. They also freeze well for long weekends. Tried the spinach and cheese tart/pie, heaven. Not into sweets so no comment. It’s a bakery not a cafe for those who need reminding.
