I was in line for 25 mins drive thru. I paid for my food. drove to pick up window 1. I then waited an additional 10 mins at the window. There were 2 young women working. they literally stood there for 10 minutes doing absolutely nothing! I said excuse me, we have been in line total 35 mins. She hands us our soda. another few minutes go buy, she hands us our food, closes the window. Thank you would be a pleasant exchange. No, just shuts the window. I open the bag. McDonald's serves great food, although there can be inconsistencies. The cheeseburger buns might be a bit tough at times, and the drive-thru can get backed up. However, the friendly staff makes up for it and provides some of the best customer service. The staff takes pride in their restaurant, keeping the store clean between customers. While mistakes with orders can happen, the Palatine Bridge location stands out for getting special requests right, like the Steak breakfast sandwich meal on a biscuit. Overall, McDonald's usually has fresh food, and their display of new items is impressive. The food is hot and absolutely delicious, especially when the staff is slammed but works hard to get meals exactly as ordered.
