The sweet plantains added just the right touch of balance to the plate. It was easily one of the best meals I’ve had this year. I also tried Ofori’s jerk chicken, and it was just as memorable. You can truly taste that the food is made with love!”

“My family came for Father's Day and it was the best decision we could have made. The restaurant and staff were extremely welcoming and the food presentation was artful. We had lassi and wine on the house, making the celebration feel wholehearted. The food is genuinely made with love and passion, with the staff members explaining the different flavors if asked. My family's personal favorites were the naan, the chicken tikka masala, mango lassi, the goat curry (I forgot the name of the dish!) and samosas with its minty-tamarind dip. The owner of the restaurant engaged with our take on each dish, and detailed his restaurant journey. This restaurant has so much to offer. It was a true experience of food and culture, and one that we will share with our friends and family! Thank you for a wonderful meal. We wish this restaurant all the best!”

“Noticed the truck over by bear mountain and decided to stop for an empanada! I was pleasantly surprised!! The tequila quesadilla AND the empanada were ON POINT!! The line aioli sauce was so delicious I wish I asked for extra! The empanadas were cooked perfectly!!! Definitely recommend 5 out of 5!!”

“If you’re feeling adventurous with your taste palette, and open to having your ice cream served differently, then definitely come here and you won’t be disappointed. I had the mango spice (can’t remember the name) and it was delicious. Bough a homemade coconut ice popsicle for the wife and she loved. Daughter had the Oreo icy and loved it too. My little one tried to stay traditional with a chocolate ice cream cone but even that tasted like authentic Mexican hot chocolate!”

“I meant to leave a review the first I ate here, but forgot. Well, my white pizza was so good, I had to return for more. Customer service was great both times. The first time I walked in and the second time I called it in. I was very please with the phone order because the young man on the phone told me how much my order was if I was paying in cash or card (up charge for card). And the first time I went the person behind the counter had a conversation with me that I enjoyed. I will be back.”

Rice & peas + the stewed cabbage were also cooked well and tasty. Large portion will easily feed two people for a reasonable price. The older gentleman was lovely and provided great customer service. Really want to try the jerk pork next time!”

“This place is really great for an impossibly cheap and delicious meal. It’s half market, half eatery. My wife is from Peru and got to experience Ecuadorian food for the first time here and she loved it. I’ve been to Ecuador before and I can say that this is pretty delicious and authentic food. Definitely check this place out when in Peekskill.”

“always always happy with their BEC sandwiches. they only have a *tiny* amount of room for dining in, so it’s mostly/mainly a take-out/pick-up spot. food is always delicious though. if you commute or have a train trip or whatever then it makes way more sense to get food from here vs. the other nearby options (there’s a whole entire restaurant/bar at the actual old Peekskill station, but its a lil ‘foo-foo’. THIS spot which is right across the street has much better/more food options).their menu prices are very reasonable, and the food quality makes it totally worth it.”

“I was on and out of town visit when I dropped by the store. The sandwich I usually get consists of vegetables only: spinach, cucumber, tomatoes, olives and banana peppers. Many stores act as if the spinach is just a topping rather than the base of the sandwich. This shop made the sandwich nicely. I had no complaints. They staff was also very patient while I signed into the subway app as I had forgotten my password and it took more time than usual. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.”

“This is your standard frozen yogurt place . Very clean place. The toppings are fresh and don’t seem too dirty, there is also a lot of flavors to choose from. Nice sized shop with tables inside. The prices are affordable. There hours are very good, overall a nice experience for a convenient local frozen yogurt shop.”

“Have ordered a handful of times and I’m sure I will continue in the future. I’ve tried Dan Dan Ramen, Miso Ramen, and Nin’ Niku Ramen. I like the first 2 equally. Nin’ Niku was good with chicken, it is pretty heavy on garlic flavor so you have to be in the mood for that. My significant other always gets beef brisket with extra protein and likes the Tonkatsu. He tried the Shoyu and said it was too salty for his taste. I’m not sure what kind of pork they use but it is a bit smoky and slightly overpowering in flavor. I prefer a traditional pork belly. Would bump up the rating to a 5 if the pork choice were improved. I will probably try the brisket as an alternative. Overall I do recommend but you may have to sample around to find what you like. I’ve ordered delivery and picked up. The atmosphere looks very nice with a bar at the front. When the weather gets better I would definitely stop by.”

However, I am doing construction 🚧 in the area and came across this location. Let me tell you! As a person who cooks, their food is the best from all the Golden Krust I've eaten from over the years.
