“I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this! Local Palate is an amazing, elevated café nestled along other local places on the main drag in Phelps. A short drive from Rochester and totally worth it! Flavors were well- layered and beyond basic. The brunch offerings were surprising and satisfying. Highly recommend!“

“This place has very experienced Barista's - Their "Cortado" is perfectly balanced. I've been to many, many coffee houses in many places, and their Cortado is even better than most of the local coffee houses where I live. Their menu items are also prepared fresh. I ordered the "Yogurt Parfait" and after finishing, I could of ordered another one. They also have good choices of store merch - I would come back again !“

Honest to god the best seasoned and perfectly crispy home fries that I have ever had. My fiancé got the Eclipse Pancakes (it was eclipse day afterall!!) and the pancakes were deliciously huge and fluffy. Will definitely return on our next trip to the finger lakes. “I'm an ER nurse and came in for breakfast after a busy shift. Waitress made me a fresh pot of decaf coffee so I'd be able to go home to sleep. Very nice, clean place. Great lake decor. Service was fast (but not in a pushy, get out the door kind of way). Food was EXCELLENT. Potatoes with green pepper and onions, topped with a delicious, tender steak and 2 poached eggs then drizzled with hollandaise sauce. Little accent of tasty sprouts too! It was absolutely delicious. Brownie and cinnamon bun to-go which we thoroughly enjoyed later in the day............We will be back!!“

“Exceptional coffee shop. The coffee options are delicious, and so is the food. Grind-On has a great selection of healthy food options…soups, sandwiches, wraps, gluten-free items, fresh fruit, and a top -notch bakery. The place is charming with a jazzy vibe, and super-duper clean (which seems to be a problem in so many other eateries). HIGHLY recommend.Vegetarian options: Most items are not vegetarian but they always offer a some vegetarian food, desserts, and a soup option.Parking: Usually lots of parking on both sides of the street out front, and there is a public parking lot in the back.Kid-friendliness: There is a little area where kids can color and play.“

“Came into this small town for a quick business trip and needed to get lunch. Community Coffee & Cafe is located in the downtown area near the courts and the food and coffee and service was fantastic! I ordered a grilled salami egg and cheese on a croissant which exceeded all expectations. I also has "The Jeanie" which is a mocha style coffee which was great as well. It is always nice finding a great breakfast/lunch spot in a small town. Would absolutely recommend!“
