New Hama Fusion is our local Japanese restaurant, and the first time we visited, it was because we were craving sushi. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the sushi itself was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You can tell they put care into their preparation — every roll we ordered was well-balanced and delicious.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the menu offers a wide variety of sushi options as well as other Japanese and fusion dishes. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend time enjoying the presentation as much as the food.
That said, it’s not the cheapest sushi spot in town. The quality is there, but the prices mean we haven’t returned as often as I’d like. I genuinely like this restaurant and the people running it — it’s just that my sushi habits lean toward being more budget-friendly.
Still, for a special occasion or when you want to treat yourself to sushi that’s a step above the everyday, New Hama Fusion is a great choice in Plainview.

Just hit every palate that I was seeking to satisfy from a sushi place. So good. And the bathrooms were very clean, which is number 1 criteria for me at any restaurant I go to, because I like to wash my hands in a clean area before I start eating.

I am very unsatisfied with the service I received today, the hostess was rude and dismissive. My friend and I were picking up our online order & we nicely asked if we could eat our food inside, and he immediately and rudely said NO! He was very firm and rude about it. We were both paying customers and were confused why we couldn’t eat our lunch there. We had to find somewhere nearby to eat our lunch, as we have never experienced this before from any other establishment. I understand if the tables are for dine-in only customers, but the restaurant was completely empty with no tables filled and he also could have kindly explained it was for dine-in only. Unfortunately, we will not be returning and I will no longer be a paying customer.

I am very disappointed with the service at New Hama. My friend and I ordered take out during our lunch break and when we went inside to pick it up I asked the employee if we could sit down and eat quickly and he rudely said “no” and I repeated my question again because I was so taken back by his dismissive response and he firmly said that we could not sit down and eat our food. If I am a paying customer why am I not allowed to sit down and eat the food that I just paid for? Not to mention, there wasn’t a single other person inside so there were plenty of tables open in the front. I am beyond disappointed by this interaction because I am a consistent customer, but I will no longer be. I have never experienced this before in any other establishment and am sad to say that I will not be returning

Probably one of the best sushi spots in town! The owner and staff workers are so sweet and this is def more on the affordable side. The quality is soo good for the price you are paying. Definitely will be back here again!
Overall fresh, delicious, and affordable Japanese cuisine with large portions. Highly recommend giving this establishment a try when you’re in the mood for sushi!

Ordered on line for delivery. Super fast delivery, hot food was hot and cold food was cold. We ordered hibachi salmon, tempura shrimp roll, double salmon roll amoung other items. Food was fantastic. Fresh and delicious. Will def become a regular customer.
