“I like the atmosphere, the specials are awesome, and the service is friendly. The lack of a theme and high regular prices make it feel less than perfect though. It can't decide if it wants to be a pub, a sports bar, a club or just your grandma's house. It's away from heavy foot traffic but still close to the heart of downtown so the scattered feeling that comes with laser lights, sport ball stools and kitty/puppy wall stickers is forgivable.“

I think it's BS Customers should get what they WANT, most places I have been do, except the most pretentious. The place is also so very small. But they are doing it right, still packing in after all these years..“

Plus, I got to meet the Owner the first night I went and he had a long conversation with me, super awesome guy and he really cares about the place! “This was my first visit to the Butcher Block. I got the special, honey BBQ Christy chicken sandwich. This came with salad and soup bar. Salad bar was nice, soup was outstanding (we had to grab a pint to go)! The crispy chicken was above standard, and huge!! My lunch companion also got a turkey sandwich that was also huge. Staff was attentive. Overall I do recommend the Butcher Block.“
