“The food was the best in Lake Placid. My family and I ate there 3 nights in a row it was so good. I had the Lomo Saltado a Peruvian specialty 3 nights in a row and it tasted better each time. My wife had the home made Peruvian Empanadas and loved them. The addition of the homemade Peruvian sauce was excellent. I also had Cazuena the Peruvian cerveza for the first time and it tasted great. If you are looking for excellent Peruvian food at a good price you are for a treat. Enjoy!!“

“We had the most amazing private dining experience here! The club had donated a dinner for eight at a fund raiser & we were blown away. Chef Alex prepared a 6 course tasting menu with wine pairings by Patrick and I was just shocked at how good it all was. I have been a member of the Whiteface Club for 22 years and seen lots of chefs come and go, but after having seen what Alex is capable of, I have very high hopes. It was all proper 'fine dining' thoughtfully presented, perfectly prepared and delectable. The everyday fare at the Cafe on the Green on the Mooselodge Boathouse is more basic to be sure, but the fact that they are able to turn out this level of quality, speaks volumes about where we might headed. You can count on top notch food for your wedding or private event at the Whiteface Club.“

“We dropped by to try out the rooftop bar. We got a beer and a double G&T for $21. To me, it was worth the price because it was a very enjoyable atmosphere and the bartenders were very attentive. I’m looking forward to coming back.“

“Best breakfast at Lake Placid (Mirror Lake)! *Much* better food than at The Breakfast Club, Etc. Dancing Bears offers housemade roasted home fries (Breakfast Club’s home fries are clearly frozen potatoes that they prep in one massive batch and dish out hard and cold for quick table turnover), delicious maple sage sausage, and thick toast (Breakfast Club serves up small frozen sausage links and thin sandwich bread, eek).

Dancing Bear’s breakfast selections are also more diverse. Loved the egg white omelet and avocado toast with fresh fruit (pineapple, honeydew, cantaloupe in summer).“

“Jackie went above and beyond helping with a surprise birthday. Big Z’s is not just a bowling alley and arcade games, it’s a great place to have a catered party. Food was abundant, very tasty and reasonably priced. There’s only a handful of places I would recommend, as a local, and Big Z’s delivers.“

“Location is prime…decor is cosy and clean. Food is delicious…we eat steaks, pastas, seafood, appetizer’s, desserts, we had drinks, all the food and drinks were delicious. We were e party of seven and unanimously agreed, food and service was amazing. The staff are amazing, super polite always smiling and always right next to you if you if you need them. “I had breakfast at the Marcy Bar at the Grand Adirondack Hotel three mornings in a row, and every meal was outstanding. The coffee was consistently fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. On my first visit, I ordered the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and it was so good that I kept coming back. For my next breakfasts, I added a side of hollandaise sauce, which made an already excellent dish even better.

The breakfast menu is top-notch, the service was great, and the atmosphere is modern, comfortable, and inviting.

Whether you're staying at the hotel or just looking for a great breakfast spot, I highly recommend stopping by. I would absolutely stay here again and would even make a special trip back just for breakfast.“

“Stopped in around 9 pm for a quick bite after a lengthy drive. Host/waiter was prompt and took our order in good time. Pizza took a while to arrive but not excessively long. Pizza was excellent with fresh ingredients. Waiter forgot to bring the caesar salad, but that turned out for the best as the medium pizza was more than enough food for the two of us. Would go there again.“
