“The dining room is such a fantastic space and we were excited to dine there but the cuisine and service exceeded the venue. Our server, Jenni, and the head chef were very attentive to my wife's allergies. The pace of service was wonderful— relaxed and unhurried. Our salads and entrees were exceptionally fresh and wonderfully prepared. Overall it was a most memorable dining experience.“

“Excellent homemade bread with dipping oil, chicken parmesan was very good! Friendly staff. Definitely planning to go back.“
“Been coming here 32yrs. Takes a little longer than the other restaurants? Great…enjoy one of Tommy’s cocktails while your food is made SPECIFICALLY FOR YOU. No red lamps. No warming ovens. Just a fire in the hearth, Tommy behind the bar and something splendid on your plate. Cannot recommend you have dinner with Joe and Colleen any stronger. The best.“

“Had dinner 1/30/24. Our meals were absolutely amazing. My husband had the surf and turf special and I had the brisket French dip. Both were SO good!!! And our server was great! We will make sure to come again when we are in Lake Placid.“

“If you're staying at the hotel or just passing thru town - it's worth the stop, for lunch or dinner. The menu has range and the food has flavor and the staff is friendly. The space is cozy - whether you're eating inside or sitting out on the patio and taking in the view of the lake.“
“This really was a beautiful dinner. I couldn't have asked for better service. I believe my waitress' name was Brittany, and she was really so kind and lovely. While my food was delicious.... I'm taking off one star for price. I got one appetizer, one drink, one salad, and one dessert. And my bill was 140 dollars before tip. When I was told the appetizer special was a pasta, I'm looking at all of the other appetizers and I'm seeing prices of around 20 to 30 bucks. So I'm thinking okay this thing is probably going to be 20 to 30 dollars. I knew I wanted to try dessert and salad so I thought I'd spend less by getting an app. Sometimes you just want a cool experience without breaking the bank. Not to mention I try to stay within my 100. 00 budget I get for traveling for work. Needless to say I was sticker -shocked when I saw the pasta was 60 dollars. The portion was EXTREMELY small, there was no meat. Just noodles and sauce. So it definitely hurt to pay that bill and I wouldn't come here again. However I'm glad I got the experience since they do make you feel very catered to. The amouse bouche selection was a pork consomme that was absolutely heavenly. Highly recommend if money is no object. Highly recommend staying away if it is ?“
“Peak 47 is the casual restaurant located within the Whiteface Lodge. It sits right next door to Kanu, the hotel's fancier option. We actually prefer the laid-back atmosphere of Peak 47 to Kanu. The food is great, the decor is beautiful, and the service has always been top-notch. Peak 47 is one of our go-to restaurants to visit in the Lake Placid area. Highly recommended!“

“This is a foodie's paradise! Simple but sweet atmosphere. Chef Andrea creates food for the soul, and Liz presents it in a prefectly balanced friendly, attentive manner. This was an unexpected treat! The food was creative and delicious, while the service was literally perfect. I felt like I went to a friend's house for dinner and a Michelin chef showed up to help! Kudos ladies! I highly recommend and look forward to coming back to Lake Placid, because this is the first place I will visit! Thank you both!“
“Jonathan Studley is doing amazing things at the Boathouse. We've been living here for 20 years and this is BY FAR the best the food has ever been. Period. Yes the prices are up, but aren't they up everywhere? The menu is simple but something for everyone, nice beef filet, always a good chicken option and some game like elk and venison available too sometimes. Don't be surprised to find new features popping up occasionally like Ramen, which was delightful. Our favorite this summer was the REAL blue point oysters with apple mignonette. I'd be remiss not to mention the Kobe beef burger, which is hands down the best burger in the Adirondacks. Chef is also doing Cafe on the Green / Veranda dinners with Thursday evening music and a nightly three course $45 Prix Fix menu to much acclaim. So be sure to check those out this winter. Finally, the boathouse is good for more than wine at sunset; now you can get one of the best meals in LP.“

“I wish I could clone this bakery and bring it back home with me. All the items are scratch made and so incredibly delicious. It is really a To go order joint as it is really tiny inside and it's so popular you sometimes need to wait outside for it to clear out to even get to the counter. Rest assured, it is worth the wait!! We were in Lake Placid 3 mornings and I got (as the hobbits call it second breakfast) here every morning. My wife is rolling her eyes. The strawberry and cream cheese Danish was the bomb! So good! The scones were massive and delicious! Not overly sweet either! The turnovers were fabulous as was the eclair. The Boston cream pie and mini cheesecakes looked amazing. The almond pastry was light and delicious! Get some goods for the car ride or for a delicious on to go snack or dessert.“

“I wish I could go back in time and not eat at this restaurant. The food looked nice but it just didn't taste good. The menu online isn't even close to the food they actually serve.“

“Great brewery for post-hike drinks.
Unfortunately, only celiac-gluten free lunch/dinner options were salads, so we did not eat. Menu says the GF pizzas come into direct contact with floured surfaces, so that was not an option.
Dietary restrictions: No celiac friendly food.“

“Second time here and it was still good. Food is good but there is something weird about the vibe of the place.
My first time there I sat at the bar and felt very out of place, because I’m not a local. This time I ordered takeout. You have to go to the second floor (not a problem) and your food is waiting at the bar. The weird thing is my food was in a bunch of separate containers with no cutlery or napkins.
Food is decent, so I would eat here again.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not even a little bit wheelchair accessible“

“Good food, great service. Would get 5 stars if the coffee was included with any given breakfast package but charging 2.50$ for coffee (free refills though) when the coffee quality is mediocre at best is not a good idea. Either improve the coffee or remove the charge no? Other than that service is great, prices are fair and the food quality overall is good.“

“Today my boyfriend, son and I ate here for the first time, the food was absolutely amazing and our waitress was very pleasant. we were originally seated outside in a very cramped, end of the row seat that didn't accommodate us well with having a stroller.. as we got up and were about to leave a very friendly waiter seated us inside. very kind, we were pleased tremendously. as we were eating our food a gentleman who appeared to be the man who keeps up with their books was SCREAMING at all the waitresses and waiters in another language, VERY AGGRESSIVE and angry..slamming paperwork down extremely hard on their POS station.. it was extremely unprofessional and awkward for us to be trying to enjoy our food... our waitress apologized on his rude behavior. (not her fault, she was lovely). besides that, I absolutely recommend the Tuna. what a great dish that was. Hope someone lets that gentleman know it was absolutely noticed by customers and really unprofessional.“

“This past weekend we held out anniversary dinner. We chose Simply Gourmet for catering and it was amazing. They have a large selection to choose from. All guest complimented the food. We also got a cake, fruit tart and cake pops for dessert and they were all incredible. I highly recommend them for any catering needs.“
