This restaurant is truly authentic and has tradional dishes like monkfish liver everything we ordered was spectacular and simply melted in our mouths. Ordering monkfish liver twice the delicate appetizer was beautifully presented it was fantastic. Tokyo Tavern is hands-down the best Sushi Restaraunt in Dutchess County...and maybe even the entire Hudson Valley.I lived in Manhattan for 20 years, and I can say with confidence that Tokyo Tavern bests 95%+ of the sushi restaurants in NYC. This place is great! The sushi was amazing. My daughter enjoyed her tuna roll and I got a shrimp tempura. The side of rice was huge and tasty. The service was fast and friendly. It's a nice little place.
