Saru Peruvian Joint is a small, efficient Peruvian restaurant serving delicious food. Their Lomo Saltado and Chicharron are highly recommended, with the added bonus of their excellent Aji sauce. The service is attentive, and portions are good-sized and reasonably priced. The large plates are great portions for the price, especially the ceviche, lomo, and chaufa rice. The green sauce that comes with the lomo and beef chaufa is to die for, and the portion sizes are amazing—a small order leaves plenty of leftovers. This hidden gem on a busy street offers some of the best Peruvian food in the area, with their chaufa being hands down the best. There are plenty of kid options on the menu, and street parking is available nearby. While the bathrooms are not ADA-compliant, there is enough space to sit.
