“I have been here twice and both times I had an amazing time! The food here is great! I have had the brisket sandwich, the steak tidbit sandwich and the French dip sandwich, all comes with French fried that are so deliciously yummy as well. “I want to start by saying we love Jack’s Restaurant and have been loyal customers since they first opened, it’s our go to place in town. The food and customer service are always top notch and its very family friendly. With that said, I’m actually writing this review in response to a past review. I would like to sincerely thank Shane and the entire Jack’s staff for coming to my child’s defense. I am the mother and was part of the” loud party” the reviewer was speaking of. First let me start by stating the “loud party” consisted of myself, my 7 yr old son, my mother and sister, (3 adults & 1 child), so I do not consider ourselves a “loud party”. I am very mindful of going to dinner with a child and big on respecting other customers. I try and attend family friendly restaurants, request to sit in an area that will not disturb others and when possible, go at earlier times. I am also VERY mindful of the volume on my child’s tablet. In the instance the gentleman is referring to, is the time my 7 yr old turned his Ipad on and had time to hit the volume button. My sister could tell the lady at the table next to us was upset by the initial volume, so she ensured my son made the volume extra low, so as not to further disrupt their evening. With that the woman turned to me and asked had I never heard of headphones, I responded with we noticed the volume bothered you and told my son to lower it, which he did, so let it go, she began to berate me and my son on how allowing my child to have his iPad at the table, is what’s wrong with the world today and telling me how I should raise him. With this her husband began to chime in, I told them both, they had no right to tell me how to raise my child and it was like 5:30 on a Wednesday evening, and I requested a table in the back, as to not bother other customers, to please leave us alone and they were scaring my son and if we annoyed them that much they could move, with that he stood up and began to raise he voice louder and yell that this whole situation is actually the restaurants fault for allowing children and opened his walking stick by slamming it on the ground towards us, and yelled they are leaving. With that another table with three children asked for their check and food be wrapped, as the gentleman, scared their children too. Our waitress came over, followed by Shane, enquiring what took place and could see how shaken up my son was and the children at the other table. I am sincerely thankful for Shane's response of asking the customer not to return, as they are a family friendly restaurant, and cannot have any customer, young or old, made to feel frightened or uncomfortable, and coming to our defense when being berated by two unknown adults. Shane may not have been present for the altercation (with a 7yr old) but the whole back of the restaurant was and could attest to how completely out of control and over the top this couple was and how no one has the right to reprimand or say anything to someone else’s child. As stated above, we have always loved Jack’s but that day put them in a league of their own in my eyes. Its not always you find a true and genuine person who puts the needs and security of your child before their own pockets and that’s what Shane did for us.“

“Wasn’t sure what to expect when I stopped here for a quick dinner. Is it a sports bar? Is it a bistro tavern? It kind of has a sports bar feel when you walk in but then it leads to a compact, cozy dining room. French Onion Soup was decent. Burger was very good - fries that came with it were top notch. Service was friendly and efficient. I might stop by again if I’m in the area.“

“It's Saturday afternoon, my wife and I were in the Glen Head and Sea Cliff area. We decided to have a light lunch locally. My wife had been to Gallagher's Pub in Sea Cliff the previous night with her girlfriends and thought they had great food. We walked in to a quaint Irish pub and were greeted by Marcus. He smiled and remembered my wife from the night before. We sat down and viewed the menu. Nice selection of food and drinks. We ordered some drinks. My wife had a soda and I had Smithwick beer. A good Irish ale. We decided on the French onion soup. It was served hot and was delicious! We ate and talked and some of our friends came in and visited with them. Good times. My wife was full after the soup , so she ordered some French fries. I ordered a buffalo chicken burger with onion rings. I thought I try something different the chicken burger was great and the onion rings were perfect. We enjoy our meal and visiting with our friends. Marcus gave us a tray for our leftover with a note on the cover. See the photos. It seems Marcus adds a special note to his customers. This was a nice and unexpected surprise. We enjoyed our time at Gallagher's. The wait service was excellent, the food was great and the atmosphere was friendly. I strongly recommend Gallagher's Pub. “I came to visit the club scene with a few lady friends.. the atmosphere was giving ole skool grown..after a while of course the vibes picked up..the only negative was the mixologist didn't know what a Blue motorcycle was which is a no no when it's the easiest and common drink to make. “We walked in off the street on a Friday night around 6 o'clock and found a sports bar with lots of TVs and a small dimly lit restaurant area. I had seen this place in yelp several times but never stopped in before. I did remember I got lots of really good reviews so we decided to try something new. It was definitely no frills but the food is the attraction here. We were greeted by the owner, chef AJ, who bought the place last month. All the reviews were a year old so I said to my wife "uh-oh". It turns out the only thing on the menu was chicken and ribs, we ordered two combo plates. The chicken was delicately fried and a dry rub style crust so it wasn't breaded - just seasoned. It was perfectly cooked and tasted terrific. Even the breast meat was cooked thoroughly but juicy and tender. But I'll leave the best part for last. The ribs are to die for!! They are bite-thru tender and juicy and the bbq sauce out of this world. It's sweet yet tangy with a little bit of spice that makes you wanna pu your lips when eating and lick your fingers every time cause you don't want to miss a drop. The only reason I'm giving four stars is because the decor was pretty depressing. They need to bring in a little bit more lighting and a few more tables, But as long as Chef AJ is cooking I'll be back!!“
“What an incredible bar! One of the owners, Dan, is such an awesome guy! He was playing in the band and conversing with all of the patrons. The bar is awesome with live music and great food! Came in with friends and we had a bunch of apps. All delicious and better than any bar food I've ever had! That's the kind of food you can only hope for at a bar!! “My husband, my one year old son, and I always come here! It's always something special or on a whim. We love the fact we can dine here and have an experience with little to no issues. We love having Juanito as our server! He's kind, professional, friendly and always makes the best drinks. He has really shown his personality with us and we sincerely appreciate that! To my embarrassment , my one year old knocked his food off the table and Juanito understood! As a new mom, things like that have us feeling so apologetic!! “We went back to Louie's for a family dinner after many years.Food was very good this time, much improved from what I remember from years ago, but it probably also depends on what you order (we had the branzino and ahi tuna).They have a unique waterfront location so hopefully they'll continue improving the food quality and service to achieve a five star level.“
