I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shirley's Soul Food, and I must say it was an experience filled with love, nostalgia, and outstanding flavors. The fried whiting is my favorite by far!! The batter is perfection!! The yams are so delicious as well but the fried whiting is like nothing I ever tasted 1000/10 I highly recommend
Damn, the food was outstanding!!!! This guy should have his own restaurant in the big city. I have tried soul food from the west to the east.. This was well worth the visit from San Diego, CA

Shirley's soulfood serves fantastic, delicious food with big, filling portions that are fair for the price. The fried chicken is perfectly crispy and surprisingly juicy. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone delicious, and the mashed potatoes are really good. The mac and cheese is a crowd favorite, though some found it average. Empanadas have good flavor. The food is amazing, warming, and everything it should be. The staff are all friendly. It is highly recommended for any gathering and is considered something special.
