6 Best Bar & Grill near Prospect

“This was an unexpected highlight of a recenttripto the Adirondacks. Right off, I do prefer places that reflect the local flavor over places that try to reflect the tastes of other places. In other words, I appreciate authenticity. The Tavern on the Gorge boasted a friendly staff, good bar food and a welcoming atmosphere with a good assortment of beverage offerings. I happened to catch this place during a night whereby they had comedians from NYC. The comedians were very good and got plenty of laughs poking fun at the Afirondack lifestyles and values. The patrons appreciated this ribbing and a great night of unexpected fun was a much needed release for me and my wife. We will return on our next trip to the North Country to recapture this homespun experience.“

“Absolutely the best place in town.. hands down!!!Went for the first time and had their wings Wednesday special.. and OMG!!! The garlic Parmesan wings are insanely good!! Best wings I've ever had!! Their blue cheese is the best I've ever had!!! This place needs to be featured on the Food Network!!! I can't wait to go back and try some other menu items.??“

“Wow! Despite reading the reviews I didn’t know what to expect but… what a great place to eat! The ‘everything’ wings were amazing, couldn’t get enough of the sauce! The French-fries, celery with blue cheese, yum!!!! We enjoyed theMoore burger too!!!“

“Awesome place, awesome people, awesome food! The "locals" are friendly, fun darts, and even a few arcade style games at the front are just some of the many things that make this place uniquely enjoyable. Just pointing this out, the bigger claw machine is 110% rigged (NO strength), but the road trip game is a blast and would still give that place 6 stars if possible. The Famous Kratzken Burger (I'm unsure on the spelling) had a unique flavor that I loved almost as much as the cajon fries. The only bad thing was I wished I had got the potato salad and the chowder (looked SSOOOO GOOD!!) Wonderful waitress and staff, fun jukebox, and fun decor. Overall, this place is an absolute blast, and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun bite to eat in a bar-like setting. Definitely going back!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Parking: Solid parking, free and plenty of spots. Nothing special, but not badWheelchair accessibility: A ramp to get in the door, seemed pretty good, I think it would be a good spot for anyone in a wheelchair.“

“Hidden gem of the mohawk valley. Rich is a nice guy, his sister goes above and beyond when she waitresses and adores my son. Taco Tuesday and Wing nights are a must! So good! Portions of anything you order are plentiful. Nick burger is by far my favorite dish! Drinks are reasonably priced as well!“

“3 rd time there. 3 Sunday brunches in a row ! We keep bringing new people there..it is that awesome! Service is second to none! Food also second to none! The restaurant and view absolutely wonderful! The drink concoctions ..wow! Can't wait for spring/summee to experience their deck!“
