“First time eating here. It was awesome. They don't skimp on the serving sizes either. We were too full to eat dessert there, but we did get it to go. Their apple pies are delicious, and hubby says their coconut cream pie is really good too.”
“Nice little restaurant. Impromptu stop passing through town. We picked up Orange Ginger Muffins which were really good. For breakfast, we tried the Pistacio Stuffed French Toast and Cranberry Apple Waffles (to go). They were delicious!”

“Wow! Despite reading the reviews I didn’t know what to expect but… what a great place to eat! The ‘everything’ wings were amazing, couldn’t get enough of the sauce! The French-fries, celery with blue cheese, yum!!!! We enjoyed theMoore burger too!!!”
“We came here cuz it has same name as my wife so it was for the novelty of it. The club sandwich was good and loaded with meat. The owner served us and he was friendly and made us feel welcome.”
“Tonight was my first time there. It was really crowded but there were several bartenders so the service was quick and friendly. Don't know if they have food. Prices match other local taverns. The crowd was quite young. I'm almost 50, so they were mostly in their 20s.”
“Little bar in the Village, good people and very limited on food, you'll find the bartenders decide when and when not to cook, that's the reason for the 4 stars”

“This place is fabulous, the customer service goes beyond reproach. The Alamo bar and grill is a must do place, the folks there put a lot of care in what they do, from the waitresses and waiters all the way to the kitchen, staff and cooks that should be called chefs. There’s a lot of passion and love that goes into every dish that leaves the kitchen. For me is home way from home! Oh yes, don’t forget to ask how them the history behind naming the place “Alamo bar & grill”, great story!”
“Welcoming store, wide variety of quality IPA's (picked up some Focal Banger on the suggestion of a clerk). Been here 3 times, haven't been disappointed with any of their suggestions. Fast and convenient redemption center as well. Will definitely be going here frequently.”

“So I tried a new place tonight. A very nice and quiet place. It's like walking back into time but that gives it a hometown feel to the place. They serve warm bread to start and then each of us got a salad before our meal. We bought our 13 month old and that wasn't a problem. There was 2 other Littles here with different families as well. We will be back someday. Only downfall they have is the parking lot is very rough and water logged after a snow melt or rainfall.”

“Reliable go to for us. Reasonable prices, good food, service usually excellent.Nobody's perfect, our last visit, mushroom stew was the special & that was my reason for going. However, there was no mushroom stew that night. So, they gave me Chicken parm for the special price. Can't complain about that.”

“July 11, 2023. 830pmStopped by on the way home from a full day of hiking…got a couple of perfectly made (????) delicious sub sandwichs and also a small container of roast beef slices for my dog(trust me, he deserved a snack!) Zack and Tyler were tending the counter… these two employees were awesome, a definite PLUS for Subway! They were friendly, and very attentive to our orders! It was close to closing tyme for them but they both had a pleasant “can do” attitude with no grumbling …and quite honestly they seemed to like their job! VERY REFRESHING!I like to give a pat on the back when its deserved and it is certainly deserved here! THANK YOU TYLER AND ZACK!You guys rock!!!”

“Divey style diner. You have the option to sit at the counter also. Eggs Benedict were awesome. Thick piece of ham and homemade hollandaise sauce. Homemade bread across the board. Mushroom 4 egg omelette was also good. Great prices and service! Cash only.”
“The sign with the food and ice cream is gone. They now have laminated menus in little holders.I really hope those get cleaned regularly!Standing in line and reading the big menu worked for us.I wouldn't order food if you are looking for quality and quantity.3 to 4 small tenders for almost $9.00 is way much! A burger for almost the same cost, hmm, no thanks.Ice cream has always been yummy!Never had a problem unless they ran out, but that is rare.Having young cashiers is sometimes a hit or a miss.If their friends show up, you have to ask them to hurry up!Dealing with cash only was annoying, but now they do have an ATM on site. That is nice.”

“Staff is usually pretty friendly, it's usually fairly busy and at least a short wait before your food comes. If you order anything specialized don't be surprised if it isn't completely ”

“This was an unexpected highlight of a recenttripto the Adirondacks. Right off, I do prefer places that reflect the local flavor over places that try to reflect the tastes of other places. In other words, I appreciate authenticity. The Tavern on the Gorge boasted a friendly staff, good bar food and a welcoming atmosphere with a good assortment of beverage offerings. I happened to catch this place during a night whereby they had comedians from NYC. The comedians were very good and got plenty of laughs poking fun at the Afirondack lifestyles and values. The patrons appreciated this ribbing and a great night of unexpected fun was a much needed release for me and my wife. We will return on our next trip to the North Country to recapture this homespun experience.”
