This is a neighborhood gem. The food is exceptional and the staff are friendly and courteous. Definitely a great dine-in experience every time.
Great local food. Comfortable atmosphere. I had the grilled lamb chops with French fries and spinach. DO NOT ORDER THE SPINACH. In my opinion, they are horrible. They taste like thawed out old spinach that is not edible. The spinach is chewy and unpleasant. The lamb chops are delicious and the fries were made to perfection. The service was good and the price was right.
A friend of mine introduced me to Mateus many years ago, and I have been going ever since. It is my favorite restaurant. You can’t go wrong with the variety of food that they offer and the taste is superb! I have had both lunch and dinner there, but the button at the bottom only lets me report on one. Lunch and dinner are great.
