El Toum Reviews
We ordered for the first time tonight from Sammy, former proprietor of JuJu’s Bagels now transformed into El Toum. We ordered 4 items and they were ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes. The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. El Toum is a small, cozy Mediterranean restaurant with a big heart. Chef Sami prepares each dish with love and skill, resulting in flavorful and generous portions. The restaurant is known for its delicious middle eastern food, featuring items like the Fatte labban, Arrays kafta, chicken shawarma, falafel, lamb chops, and mixed grilled platter. It is easily the best falafel in NYC. The hummus bil lahmeh is a staple and some of the best dishes straight out of Beirut. Vegan options are also available. The space has a quality that draws you in, with a warm, family-run atmosphere. It is tiny but cozy, filled with beautiful decorations like mosaic candle lights and pictures of Lebanon landmarks. With incredibly tasty food, friendly and fast service, and complete satisfaction, it is a hidden neighborhood gem worth visiting.
