I myself didn't order from this place but was at a party where they ordered trays of food from Hacks. I had some fried rice with this red-looking chicken. With the color, you'd think the chicken may have had some BBQ sauce or something on it but no, it was the typical chicken you'd expect from a Guyanese restaurant, just with a red hue. Very small amount of fried rice in the paper bag.,about a plate and a half . If you are going to sell paper bag fried rice at least give some adequate portions. Same with chicken. Also the lowmein was lacking chicken. The overall taste was ok. I know the owner very well and I would not bash her establishment but I was very disappointed with the food . This restaurant says it's serves halal food but please be mindful that not everything on their menu is halal. Their house special fried rice has imitation crab meat. Imitation crab has Japanese wine (mirin/sake) in its ingredients list and carmine. Both of which makes it unsuitable for halal diet. This makes me worry about what else they are using in their cooking that may not be halal suitable.
