Hunan Kitchen of Grand Szechuan used to operate here. It went through many owners, still retaining it's original chef. Unfortunately, this time around the change in ownership resulted in a huge decline in food quality and service. Incredibly high salt content combined with lots of palate dulling Szechuan pepper does not do much to mask the lower quality meats and inartfully prepared dishes, service was awful and careless from the first sitting, to walking out the door. Love this spot!! They have really good over rice specials that gives you a lot of good and under $10. That’s extremely rare. If I am sick of Kabul kabab next door I like to come here.
Even though I don’t like spicy food, I still like the taste of this restaurant. The bullfrog with pickled pepper and fish head with chopped pepper are my favorites. The portions are large and the price-performance ratio is very good!
