Really great food and friendly, casual service. Some of the best Thai food you are going to get in the NYC area. Been here several times now and it's consistently excellent.
Casual environment with fine dining experience. Duck larb was delicious with fantastic flavors and a nice spicy heat (recommend adding side of stick rice). Tom yum soup was savory and comforting with nice sized prawns. Water spinach was a flavorful green side to add to the meal. Warm coconut pudding dessert was a great way to end dinner. Entrees portions are shareable/family style. Attentive and friendly staff. Recommend reservations to ensure seating.
Isan Thai is a small restaurant located in a quaint area of Queens, offering a nice Thai vibe. While the food is delicious with infused flavors, some dishes like the Shrimp on Pad Thai and the crispy pork belly over rice were noted for being very salty. The spice level is high, which may not suit everyone. The mango sticky rice dessert is highly recommended. The limited wine list and tiny seating may affect comfort.
