“Lovely quaint restaurant next to the train station. I was interested in a cecina plate, which was not on the menu, but the owner graciously cooked to order for me. The mole veracruzano was different, unique and strong in flavor; unlike the mole I grew up eating. The mole enchiladas had plenty of shredded chicken. Very pleased with the service too. Would recommend, stop by!“

“I went here and ordered nachos which consisted of homemade tortilla chips, melted with cheese, in a bed of black beans puree, topped with crema, guacamole and pico de gallo (and shrimps=one of the options to choose from) and I really loved it. I am back in the Netherlands after a visit to New York and still thinking about it. Thank you so much for this lovely culinary experience.“

“Tacos can be made wrong. They don’t do that here. Top 5 best tacos I’ve had in NYC! I don’t care about anything else other than “Is the food good?” Steak was seasoned & slightly charred just like I like it! Clean, great service and even better food. “I grabbed the Burger a La Mexicana & Fries from Eggstravaganza Mexican through MealPal and wow, this beef burger with pepper jack, jalapeno, avocado, and pico de gallo was super indulgent and flavorful. The brioche bun held everything perfectly—so satisfying!“

“The reviews are right. This place has great tasting food! We got the J*** chicken with rice and peas and plantains. We also got the wings with Rasta Pasta and plantains. Everything was on point and super flavorful. I highly recommend the wings - they are the best thing we got and the best wings you can get. I will say it was a little more expensive than usual but the portion sizes were good and the food tasted great so its worth it. Highly recommend trying this place.“

“Yummy yummy yummy! This food was delicious and authentic. Finally some good Mexican food in NYC! They were cash or Zelle only. They had some seating inside, mostly bar table height with one regular 4 seat table.
I had a huarache, which was perfectly fried with all the right toppings. My husband enjoyed the birria tacos, with the tortillas that had been classically marinated and pan fried. We'll be back.“

“My girlfriend and I had a great experience. Good atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The drinks were good and the steak tacos were great. We’d ordered the guacamole and chips and asked them if it came with tomatoes (I’m allergic) the bar tender came back a few mins later and let us know that their guacamole was made with tomatoes but that she would take it off the bill. A manager (maybe the owner) stopped by the table and offered to make the guacamole fresh without tomatoes. We’re thankful for the generosity and would recommend House of Music to anyone.“

“Food was delicious and portion was a lot. Service was on top notch and delivery was on time. I took the pic while we were eating, it was more tacos and quesadillas but we eat it. Churros were very delicious and crunchy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. We often order food from this restaurant so I decided to review it today. Employees are very courteous. Birria had lots of meat and full of satisfying flavors. The price was reasonable. I highly recommend.“

Staff was amazing!! Specially coming from El Jefe where we had a terrible experience with the bartender. Cantina made our night so much better! The music was excellent! The appetizers were delish as well as the Happy Hour prices! Kudos to Kenia who was a wonderful to us!! Highly recommend! Thank you Cantina!“
