“I went here and ordered nachos which consisted of homemade tortilla chips, melted with cheese, in a bed of black beans puree, topped with crema, guacamole and pico de gallo (and shrimps=one of the options to choose from) and I really loved it. “The reviews are right. This place has great tasting food! We got the J*** chicken with rice and peas and plantains. We also got the wings with Rasta Pasta and plantains. Everything was on point and super flavorful. I highly recommend the wings - they are the best thing we got and the best wings you can get. I will say it was a little more expensive than usual but the portion sizes were good and the food tasted great so its worth it. Highly recommend trying this place.“

“Yummy yummy yummy! This food was delicious and authentic. Finally some good Mexican food in NYC! They were cash or Zelle only. They had some seating inside, mostly bar table height with one regular 4 seat table.
I had a huarache, which was perfectly fried with all the right toppings. My husband enjoyed the birria tacos, with the tortillas that had been classically marinated and pan fried. We'll be back.“

“My girlfriend and I had a great experience. Good atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The drinks were good and the steak tacos were great. We’d ordered the guacamole and chips and asked them if it came with tomatoes (I’m allergic) the bar tender came back a few mins later and let us know that their guacamole was made with tomatoes but that she would take it off the bill. A manager (maybe the owner) stopped by the table and offered to make the guacamole fresh without tomatoes. We’re thankful for the generosity and would recommend House of Music to anyone.“
