Guo’s restaurant Reviews

Cute little spot in Elmhurst that sells northern style food. They sell Chinese bbq on sticks (prices are little bit higher than the ones you get from the corner carts) and the way they seasoned it, it's soooo good! Their dumplings are also really yummy as well. Beef malatang is also another favorite of mine.

Five stars for the food, which is authentic, spicy, fresh, and delicious. Reasonable prices too, especially for the soups (~$9). -1 star for the service. The staff clearly favor Chinese-speaking people, as they get suddenly much nicer when you speak to them in Chinese. So if you want good service, lead with Chinese.

Stumbled upon this restaurant in Elmhurst. There's a huge selection of foods-- from skewers to seafood to meats. I had to try all. My favorite is the gizzard and beef skewers, the chili crab and the pickled soup. Everything tasted so fresh. The owners are from Northern China so be careful of the spice level. I will definitely come back and try their other foods. This place reminded me of the foods in Shanghai except healthier. Definitely a must try!
