“The Jerk Loaded Plantain is such a unique concept and definitely worth trying. The flavors were incredible but I do wish it came with more jerk chicken. The plantain to chicken ratio felt a bit off. That said, the jerk chicken itself is absolutely delicious, juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu that includes the jerk chicken. We ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Caesar Salad, and a 14-inch Pepperoni Pizza. Every single item was delicious! The quality of the food was outstanding. The pepperoni pizza especially stood out—crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. “Mr. Dak is definitely a spot worth visiting if you're craving delicious Korean food. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The avocado chicken cucumber salad was light, refreshing, and a perfect starter. The wings were crispy, juicy, and came with amazing flavor options. The chicken with rice was incredibly satisfying with generous portions, and the ramen was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor.

“I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt. The food is awful. Mozzarella sticks were frozen, Cajun fries, a handful of paprika drowned over the top Today beer that's normally $6 was $8 plus a $4 tip, tax and looking for another tip. Bill should have been $20 it's $30. Live with your wn failure. Don't put it on the customers. Pretty bartenders won't cover incompetence.“

The perilla seed oil noodles were incredibly flavorful- as a Korean tryuly enjoyed it and Yangneum fried chicken was crispy & sauce was tasty reminded me the famous one in Sokcho, Korea that I craved! My husband loved the kimchi fried rice with pork belly-!

The fried chicken is hands down the best I’ve had in NYC—crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. I also tried their saucy smash burger, and wow… it’s the best smash burger I’ve ever had. The sauce takes it to another level.
On top of that, I ordered the shrimp fries, chicken tenders, and chicken wings, and every single item was amazing. You can tell they put real care into their food.

“I got chicken over rice for $12 hands down best deal I’ve had in all of NYC as a foodie. It was my first time experiencing halal food so I asked bunch of questions to the guys at the line and they were very chill; they described all the toppings that I pointed to and gave me a GENEROUS PORTION. Chicken was well seasoned and tender, rice was also seasoned and chickpeas and hummus were decently fresh; everything tasted good even on the next day. This fed me for easily two days! “TLDR: Great Korean fried chicken shop in Greenpoint. Spicy crispy wings and definitely try a Korean corn dog.

I was curious to try a few spots in Greenpoint and this was one of them. The chicken is fried fresh so you do need to wait a bit but who doesn't want their chicken made to order?

I'm not a corn dog person at all but I did try the half/half with the potato coating. It was still hot from the fry and the cheese pull on the mozzarella half was very impressive. The beef hot dog half was also good as well. It's finished with powder sugar (as it's mean to be) and it all works pretty well together. Grabbed one for the wife and she was very happy with it.

I ordered the crispy spicy wings and these were very enjoyable. There are not many Korean chicken shops that do this style. I prefer mine sauceless and the battery has a nice kick to it. The skin is crunchy and the chicken is juicy and VERY HOT.

Brought some wings back home and air-fried them the next day, still very delicious. Definitely would check out again if I'm in the area.“

$4 for commercial banana milk felt expensive - I thought it would at least be served with a cup of glass and ice.

Just a thought here - regarding the composition of k-bap, I think there might be too many “chili pepper” in the dish - spicy chicken+gochujang+kimchi (which I ordered but was probably served wrong) is a lot of mixed spices from different sources.“

“Ordered takeout from Don Chicken on Northern Blvd and went for the Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken and it did not disappoint. The pieces were pretty big, juicy inside, and had that trademark Korean fried chicken crunch: thin, shatter-crispy, never greasy. The soy garlic glaze was spot on savory, garlicky, with just enough kick to keep me reaching for another bite.

I also tried the Sweet & Spicy flavor not bad at all, just leaned sweeter than what I usually like.

What I really appreciate is how Korean fried chicken is different from the fried chicken most of us grew up with. Instead of a thick, heavy batter, it’s double-fried a method that actually came about in Korea in the 1960s and 70s when fried chicken started getting popular alongside beer (“chimaek,” short for chicken + maekju/beer, is now a whole culture). That double fry gives you the crunch without the grease, and the sauces like this soy garlic add layered flavor instead of just salt and breading.

For takeout, it traveled well too the chicken stayed crisp even by the time I got home, which tells you they’re doing it right. Generous portions, bold flavor, and that authentic K-fried crispness make the spicy soy garlic the clear winner for me.“

I got asked if I wanted my wings crispy or extra crispy and I definitely got extra crispy. You can get your wings alone or by the combo which gets you a side of fries and a drink BUT you can substitute the fries for fried rice of any kind they offer for an additional charge.“
