The garbage plates have significantly improved. Not that they were ever bad, they've always been solid, but the one I had today was TOP NOTCH. Probably one of my favorite plates in Rochester, and that's coming from a girl that used to sling plates until 4am at a different joint. My husband picked up our to go order and said the man working, who I believe may be an owner (?), was extremely pleasant. Cannot wait to order from here more consistently.

Chili Hots is a small restaurant with booths, often windy outside. Orders are usually correct, but the parking lot is small and shared with other places. Prices are high, but the taste is decent. The menu needs better descriptions. A first-timer enjoyed the Mediterranean salad with chicken and the Buffalo chicken finger salad, both very good and filling. The chicken was flavorful and juicy, and the fries were crispy. The Mac salad was flavorful but could have used more mayo. The restaurant offers quick service and friendly staff, especially on a Saturday night. The Cheeseburger combo, which includes two sides and a drink, was very good, with the macaroni salad standing out. The location is just minutes off I-490 exit 4. A visitor from out of town shared that the white zweigle hotdog with chili sauce, ketchup, mustard, and onion was absolutely delicious—way better than remembered from childhood. Their young child also loved it. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
