Really glad we chose this as a spot to stop in. Working road trip, needed a place to plug in and work. Atmosphere was very pleasant here and we got to try several different wine varietals. Service was perfect. Our favorite was the seasonal sparkling rose which shocked us both. I also loved the sirah syrah. Highly recommend trying a wine flight!
I was gifted a bottle of the 2018 Finger Lakes Chardonnay Museum Release, and it is a masterclass in patient winemaking. Having the library cellaring done for you pays off immediately because the depth here is incredible. It flawlessly bridges the region's signature crisp acidity with a matured, highly textured palate that feels remarkably polished and intentional. It is a stunning, layered expression that is drinking beautifully right now, and knowing how few bottles are left makes opening it feel like a genuine event.
Very chill vibe with nice atmosphere and great wine!!
Living Roots is easily one of my favorite spots in Rochester! The atmosphere is bright and welcoming, perfectly blending a lush, plant-filled interior with warm wooden accents. From the thoughtful welcome pour to the genuinely kind and helpful staff, I always feel like a valued guest the moment I walk through the door.
It's also impressively family-friendly. I often have my girls with me, and it's common to see strollers and little ones throughout the space. The charcuterie and cheese plates are both generous and delicious. I especially appreciate that they offer high-quality gluten-free crackers as a substitute for bread.
It's a 10/10 experience every time, and I couldn't recommend them enough!
Fabulous venue - lots of windows for natural light, space between tables so even when it’s busy it never feels crowded, and has a modern industrial yet warm feel. The wines are delicious with something for everyone from sweet to bone dry. The experience is lovely. The staff are knowledgeable and kind. Don’t be surprised if your server greets you with a tasting. Ask questions of you have them. The staff are very helpful and you can even get a small taste before ordering a full glass if you are torn between an old favorite and a new wine. Only downside is parking can be a little challenging though I’ve never not found a spot on the street or the lot behind the building. Don’t let it dissuade you.
Great wines and WONDERFUL staff!
Very nice original associated with Keuka Lake location. Classy, quiet and nice wines. Stopped in to kill some time on other business downtown
10/10 experience. The staff was engaging and made the tasting experience very fun. My only suggestion would be that the American and Australian staff have some sort of exchange program so they can speak to direct experience about the wine making process at their sister locations!
Love this place. Atmosphere, seating selection, service, products are all fantastic!!
Great atmosphere, staff, and drinks

Living Roots Winery truly nails every detail. From the beautiful atmosphere and thoughtful decor to the best playlist, the experience feels curated in the best way. The service is excellent, and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable without ever being intimidating. The cheese board alone is worth the visit. The last time I went was for a Valentine’s Day outing with a friend, where we did a chocolate and wine flight pairing—everything was delicious and perfectly paired. I also really appreciate that they offer kombucha; sometimes you want to meet friends in a great space without having an alcoholic drink, and they make that feel just as intentional. I haven’t made it to their Finger Lakes location yet, but it’s high on my list. The Rochester spot is perfectly located near some of my other favorite breweries, cidery, and restaurants—an ideal stop on a full-service block.
A fantastic place to meet with good friends, try some new sips, and snack on some kangaroo jerky!
Tastings - #2 sweet spot and #4 Reds really nice full range of flavors
Fantastic wine, winery, and tasting room! We used them for our wedding reception/party this October and guests absolutely loved the wines including some reds, whites, and a sparkling rose. Prices are spot on for the quality and we always enjoy visiting. Special thanks to Brittany Weeks who always goes out of her way to welcome us and provides the most fantastic service. Thank you LR!
