I was excited to try this place (not many ice cream shops are open in the winter!) so I went and ordered a waffle cone with cannoli ice cream. To my disappointment the ice cream tasted off and the cannoli chips were stale. Perry’s cannoli is my go-to flavor so I know what it’s supposed to taste like. The chips should still have a crunch to them. I wonder if the ice cream had been sitting around open for a while considering it’s winter and they don’t go through it as quickly. Either way, a disappointment.

I love their operating hours, which we found to accommodate my family's schedule. The various specials and discounts offered throughout the week help this extra stay within our TIGHT budget. We live in the 19th Ward, and eagerly await their delicious ice cream, gelato, and sorbetto flavors at the end of our bus ride (the nearest RTS stop is but a stone's throw away)! Last, but certainly not least, is how patient the girl working Halloween night (I'm terrible with names) around 7pm was with my autistic Cub! She can ask a lot of questions, or need something reworded until it makes sense to her. She was really nice!
