“This place was amazing! This spot is setting the bar in the Catskills. Food was delicious, coffee was great, owners were warm and welcoming. AND they had Gluten Free bread options.”
“Quiet night in the dining room meant excellent service from the waitress and attention from the manager. Food superb, excellent value. We were a small family gathering. We'll be back, would recommend to anyone.”
“Very nice place....only one thing...only one waitress for all restaurant...poor women...she was doing the best in that busy evening....please do not kill her with the work...”
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chappies with a group of 15 friends, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Located conveniently near a mountain where we enjoyed snow tubing, this restaurant was the perfect post-adventure retreat. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the stage for what turned out to be a culinary delight. Our diverse group sampled a variety of dishes, and each one surpassed our expectations. The French toast was a delightful start to our meal, with its perfect balance of sweetness and fluffiness. The Texas patty melt and grilled cheese sandwiches were absolute crowd-pleasers, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. One of the unexpected gems was the chai chili wrap, which added a delightful twist to our taste buds with its unique combination of flavors. Even the soup, a seemingly simple dish, impressed us with its depth of flavor and comforting warmth. And let's not forget the chicken fingers, a classic favorite that did not disappoint. To complement our meal, we indulged in an array of drinks, all of which were expertly crafted and served with care. Whether it was a refreshing cocktail or a steaming cup of coffee, each sip enhanced our dining experience. The service was impeccable, with the staff accommodating our large group effortlessly and ensuring that every need was met. Despite the size of our party, the food arrived promptly and was served with a smile.Overall, dining at Chappies was a highlight of our snow tubing adventure. The combination of delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and top-notch service made for a truly memorable experience. Whether you're visiting the area for outdoor activities or simply seeking a fantastic dining experience, I highly recommend making a reservation at Chappies. You won't be disappointed!”
“Where to begin? This spot blew my expectations out of the water. My boyfriend and I shared their broccoli and potato soup, with their house made bread. We also had the infamous roasted eggplants sandwich which melted in your mouth, with the crunch of the bread and the gorgeous San Marzano tomato sauce. Even the salad was perfectly dressed and so fresh.I had their peach fizz mocktail, fresh peach nectar, raspberry juice, so delicious. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone and everyone!”
“Nice take out spot. Selection is pretty limited and good to call ahead since they run out of things or don't have them on certain days. It is a small place but, since it is open on days when most food providers aren't, this is a gem. The pitas were great but the pita chips weren't eaten. Chicken nice as were the dips.”
“Solinsky's is a true craft of a salumeria producing world-class cured meats and barbecue brisket. Only open on the weekends, the owners are a couple who make everything themselves using local ingredients. Their selection changes slightly week to week and ranges from bacon, to prosciutto cotto, capocollo, kielbasa, and my newfound favorite, kabanosy. In addition, they smoke brisket and make the best barbecue I've had (including in Austin) with your choice of fatty or lean meat. They also sell pantry items - tinned fish, cheese, milk, and other goods - and sell baguettes after noon. If you're in the area and eat meat, do yourself a favor and stop in!”
“Had such a great experience at this restaurant last night. Me and my entire family went for my birthday dinner. We started off with cocktails that were delicious and had the Brussel sprouts and Trout dip for apps. We loved it! The menu doesn’t have too many options, but it seems like they are a quality over quantity place and I prefer that. All the stuff on their menu is fresh from local farms, that is hard to come by. Then, our meals came out and they were amazing! The steak I got was perfectly cooked and the potatoes and veggies were awesome. We did have an issue with my mother’s burger being too rare, but they were very nice about it and tried to fix the issue as quickly as possible. The customer service right from the start when we walked into the restaurant was top notch. Cay Sophie took care of the issue and went above and beyond for us. She sent me home with a birthday dessert also. Half Acre is a very welcoming place and I will be going back whenever I am in the area!”
“I didn't eat any food but the dumpling wagon was there and my group ordered a lot to eat there and extra to take home!I love all things hard cider so this place was perfect for me. It's so delicious and there's something special about being on tap!My friend's duo was playing a gig there on a beautiful summer day. It is breathtaking! I love how many music groups they have! Support live local music! My first time there I didn't know they were dog friendly. My boy would've had a great time! I'll bring him next time for sure!I live in Oneonta. It was a 30-40 minute drive and a beautiful drive. Well worth the trip. It's a casual, comfortable place.Should I mention the porta potties??? Impeccably clean. I've never seen a porta potty so clean and no odor. Hand washing station also very clean. It was great not having to leave the music outside to use the bathroom inside.Take the short trip for a great time. You won't be disappointed!”
“Wow! We were pleasantly surprised with the food. It was fresh and truly homemade. Definitely recommend the burger... probably the best I've ever had. The crispy chicken caesar wrap was also delicious... really good chicken. It was very busy for lunch but plenty of friendly staff that worked well together and kept everything moving. We will definitely come back next time we are in town!”
“Love Faith American beer! I have everytime I’m At Windham Mtn. I wish the brewery was open, we would visit everytime we are up here! Thanks Kelsey for a delicious brew!!”
“Great hole in the wall kind of bar. Super casual, family run joint. Cheap, super great prices. Good flatbread pizza, decent burgers, good chicken tenders, greasy fries and decent cheesestake. Great pickles! Waitress was awesome, super attentive and funny. For a very casual place, 5/5.”
“I absolutely love this cafe and visit every time I go to book shop in Hobart! Great variety and quality of both food and coffee (honestly more than I was initially expecting in such a small town), and really lovely staff as well. Highly recommend!”
“Love love this local coffee shop. We are from NJ and frequently visit in the area and always stop here a few times while there. Owner is very friendly and always willing to make something new for me. If you haven’t tried this shop you are missing the best.”

“It was January of 2018… four friends showed up to what is still considered the greatest diner we have ever been to. Nothing will ever top the authentic delicious breakfast we were served. We talk about this place as though it’s Bethlehem and we are the disciples following the stars to Jesus’s births- it’s that good. God speed and Godbless this place”
“the shake shack of the catskills is what i would call this! i probably would not have stopped in if it weren't for a friend suggesting it. totally lives up to the hype! i opted for a cheeseburger, fries, and side of macaroni salad. 100% satisfied with it. delicious burger, great fries, mac salad, and a cold can of soda....all for $6.00!!! i'll be back to try the other options.”
“I love these people.. best Italian food anywhere.. ever... Treated like family from the moment in the door. Cant say enough... Great service for larger groups too.. Friend had a baby shower there.. they took awesome care of us. Great prices too... Go there.. you will love it...”
“This is the place you hope that will end up being your new local tavern. From the food (which is truly amazing thanks to Mike) the drinks and the atmosphere the owner Santos and the bartender MJ will make your night. I know they did for us.”
“We went there tonight after a concert down the street for dinner and it was just right. The chef/owner and waitress were friendly and welcoming and the food was fresh and delicious. The service was outstanding. Everything made from scratch. They don't have their liquor license yet but it did not matter. I recommend it.”
“great food in a no-frills location. love the al fresco dining and the easy parking.excellent for families and young kids, my toddler loved everything on the menu.”
“This place is awesome been ordering since I was a child and still do now going there today as a matter of fact just really enjoy the service, fast and good!Parking: Parking is a little tough.”
“A fantastic place to eat given the limited options in the area. An old school diner atmosphere with a friendly staff and a huge menu. The roast beef platter was great, and the “best burger in the Catskills” lived up to the name. They had a full menu of just ice cream too; my friend loved his milkshake and my soft serve was some of the best I’ve ever had.Must stop if you’re traveling by.”
“We were in the area to ski at Belleayre, and there were not a lot of dining options on a Monday night. We chose La Cabana because it has a bar... the classic margarita on the rocks was perfect. We started with chips and salsa, which were very fresh. We both had the same entree, the vegetarian combination. It was tasty, plenty to eat and very reasonable, though I prefer regular beans to refried beans on the side. The ambiance was so-so, kind of a large bland room, but there was a big wood stove cranking out some welcome heat. The server was very pleasant. Happy we found this place and we'd visit again.”
“Pretty fantastic pizza for the middle of the Catskills! Perfectly crunchy crust, nothing chewy about it. The crazy statue in the front is also amazing. It's definitely what brought us inside.Pro tip: They sell pizza by the slice so this is a great place to hit if you're on a tight schedule. I have a family of five and we were in and out in 17 minutes!Kid-friendliness: Arcade games and a claw machine make this a great place for kids!”
“Excellent service. The dishes were delicious. Their honey whipped butter is to die for. Best pork chop I've had in a long time. Very juicy and well prepared. Great find and will visit again.”
