This place is in need of a total. Renovation. And we are told that it is in fact going to be rebuilt

We had dinner here. Beautiful place and location. 2 out of 3 drinks arrived a half hour after ordering and it was not busy. The 3rd finally came 10 minutes later. Our 3 out of 4 dinners arrived 40 minutes later. One order was duck and it was so small a child would have been hungry after finishing it. Three of us were finished with our meals when the fourth meal arrived. The halibut meals were expensive and very neutral in flavor. The short ribs were delicious. We will not be going back to this place.

The best dinner in the most beautiful location. Food was excellent, the staff was friendly and knowledgable. Live music added to the ambience of a beautiful night. Highly recommend for a great dinner spot.

For the restaurant: Initial experience at the bar for a woman was being ignored while the bartender just chatted with some of the male bar patrons, and then ultimately being looked over for a man who was looking for a drink. She had to speak up and she did. Second part of the experience was at the table where the maitre’d’ chastised us for bringing three extra people. The reservation was for eight and we were 11 (we did not need any extra table space just a couple of extra chairs and there were many empty tables at that time) . It was a last-minute change, but we all felt like he was telling us “don’t ever do this again” and made us feel extremely unwelcome

Don’t know even where to start at how bad this place is. The rooms are horrible. The restaurant is terrible. The service everywhere in this place is so bad.

Glorified Motel at best.
Completely outrageous prices.
The rooms are basic - you can hear your neighbors, there is a constant musty smell and damp sheets and the AC is old and extremely loud
Not worth the 1-2K they will make you pay per night for in summer season
The location is good but that’s the only good thing about this hotel
I am still shocked at how outrageous the prices are for what looks like an old motel
Don’t be scammed, the owners should be ashamed!!!

I made a reservation for my family and I to eat at the restaurant for my birthday. I called to see if I could push my reservation back a bit because my infant was a little under the weather. Never did I advise the manager NICHOLAS to cancel my reservation. After hanging up the call and before my reservation was even scheduled I got an email that the reservation was cancelled and received a $400 cancellation fee on my credit card statement. I called as soon as I saw this to ask why my reservation was cancelled and no answer a few times when I finally got someone they told me Nicholas would call back. He never did.

Needless to say avoid this disgusting scam of a restaurant at all cost. SHAME ON YOU NICHOLAS AND SHAME ON YOU BARON'S COVE!

I decided to book one night in June for $899 a night ($1,000 after taxes & fees). And I actually think the hotel should be ashamed for this pricing. The small dark room (with views of a parking lot) felt so old and unhealthy to be in, worsened by the fact that you smell mildew when you walk in. The property is super dated and needs a MAJOR overhaul and renovation. The hallways have old rugs, there are chip and dent marks on every wall, and it just feels like a $99 highway motel.

The only redeeming quality was the service and proximity to downtown Sag Harbor, though that justifies half the rate I was charged.

Nice calm place, has a pool which is great for kids.

Rooms are small but staff are very nice.

Food was ok. However the whole point was to sit upstairs and see the marina and when we arrived we were told it was booked for a private event. Just message your customers and let them know before they drive to find out

Awful , kitchen understaffed , mgr tried but could not get it done , they shoukd never have sat us for the meal the single worst dining experience I have ever had and it was not inexpensive which added insult to injury I feel bad for the servers so I still tipped well . This was a mgmt issue .

A guy hostess sat us inside after being told we would sit outside and lied saying the reason we would sit inside was because it was going to rain. It never rained and was super sunny. Service was really slow our server came up 1 or twice after taking our order our water glasses were empty most of the meal.

Thrilled that Baron's Cove is under new management. Resto is superb - a vast improvement. Service excellent, lovely sitting in the porch. Meal was uniformly strong; oyster are presented creatively - the cucumber in the mignonette is a nice touch. Red snapper special was superb, as was the lobster rigatoni. Our server was charming and efficient. Enjoyed meeting Nicholas, the resto manager. Very much looking forward to returning this Summer. Will save time for a drink around the fire pit next time.
