“I recently had a little birthday party at Smokey Buns and they were incredible! Helen the GM goes above and beyond to make sure Smokey Buns not only runs smoothly but is a warm and welcoming environment for everyone. Helen is communicative, precise, and offers great insight around planning. The staff are friendly and attentive. All my friends found this location to be an excellent spot for a get together. Easily accessible, affordable, and clean. Thank you so much to Helen and the rest of the crew for being incredible. We will be back!!“

“went with 2 other people, and one of the burgers was undercooked (she asked for no pink and there was a lot of pink). the cheese part of the mac and cheese was pasty, like it was a bechamel sauce with extra flour on instead of a mornay sauce, aka they did the flour butter and milk but added no actual cheese to it. the fries were tasty and the burgers were well seasoned. i wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again.“

“I really enjoyed this spot that we stumbled upon. You order at the counter and then they bring you your meal wherever you are. We sat outside and the kids got to play, eat and have fun. Great family environment to bring children to, they have a playground which my daughter loved, table tennis, foosball and more. We didn’t play golf, we just came for the burgers but we felt we left with a wonderful family memory. Thank you!!“

“Best restaurant in the North Fork. Nookies delights year round with imaginative yet unpretentious fare in a cozy former diner on the grounds of the Silver Sands Motel. The chefs lean into the region's stellar local produce right down to the sweet and grassy snap pea martini. You can't go wrong with the seasonal veggie starters, pristine crudo and oysters, house made focaccia and tender pork cheeks or a bronzed roast chicken. Or sit at the counter to preview their menu choices being prepared in a convivial open kitchen.“

“Very good food and very nice, friendly people. We ordered the nachos and chili fries, and both were excellent!
The only small thing I would mention is that while we were still eating, someone started sweeping nearby. It wasn’t a big deal, just a friendly comment, but I felt it was a little inappropriate since we were still enjoying our meal. 😉 Overall, we had a great experience.“

“Server Leoni deserves a gold star.
My pasta dish (agnolotti with morels) was an abstract painting of flavor. Every bite achieved a beautiful balance of salt, fat, and acid, yet the truly magical part was being able to experience each gorgeous umami note separately and gently (unlike a burger, which offers a more aggressive medley of flavors).
The pasta was fresh and handmade, with a perfect al dente bite around the edges. The ricotta brought a delicate sweetness and silky texture, while the peas provided a bright accent. The sauce was both lemony and savory. Perhaps what I enjoyed most was the speck paired with the morels. Unlike bacon, which can easily overpower a dish, the speck acted as a subtle accent that only enhanced the other flavors.
The artistry of the textures and flavors was simply magnificent - pasta dish craftsmanship in a way I have never experienced before. Portion size was perfect as well. Thank you.“
