The outdoor terrace here is lovely — a really pleasant spot to sit and enjoy the evening. Service was excellent throughout: the hostess was warm and welcoming, and our server was great as well.
Unfortunately, the food left something to be desired. It just didn’t quite live up to the atmosphere and service.
Would come back for the ambiance and hospitality, but wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way for the food.

The Red Hook Tavern is one of my 5 favorite restaurants in all of NYC. The platonic ideal of a great tavern restaurant, perfection personified. This sister restaurant sadly doesn’t live up to that high bar. Ordered a medium rare burger and got a well done burger. Such a sad waste of absolutely beautiful meat 😢.
