“This place never disappoints. Last night I sat and had a table filled with dishes that were so delicious. Spare ribs were falling off the bone and seasoned to perfection. Steve makes the finest dishes packed with savory goodness. Love the bread and toppings. Their Pesto pasta with broccoli rabe and sausage is amazing and one of my favorites. Quaint place with wonderful service too. I recommend trying each dish ❤️?”

“Went on a busy Saturday night, it was very hectic in there, but not like in an NYC type of way. Everything was honestly organized, and people were getting their food and drinks in a timely manner. Wasn’t a fan of the “Figgy Smalls”, tasted like medicine, but the Dark Cherry Bourbon Sour was amazing. The Grouper was amazing sitting on top of the risotto, perfect for a fall evening. We will definitely be coming back!”

“I’ve been on the hunt for authentic tacos, and I’m so happy to say I’ve finally found them right here in St. James. Tacos Cinco de Mayo serves the best tacos in the area hands down. The portions are generous, and the sauce bar is a great touch that lets you customize your plate just the way you like it.

So far, I’ve tried the brisket tostadas and steak tacos both were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. I’ve heard rave reviews about the al pastor and birria as well (though I don’t eat pork), and I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re just as amazing.

The taqueria is cozy, with seating for around 8 tables, and their drinks are all made in-house. I really enjoyed the Jamaica and tamarindo, and they also offer horchata and passion fruit.

It’s such a great addition to our town, authentic, flavorful, and welcoming. Highly recommend!”

Always great food and staff, we have even used their catering and the owner Sal always comes over and says hi! Keep it small and make sure you come to this amazing small business. “I stopped at Lorenzos Pizza for the 1st time today. The pizza is fantastic and gets the full 5 stars.The middleaged gentleman working counter, however should get 1 million stars.Someone in my car got sick as we pulled up to park, and left a little mess infront of the store, and may need urgent care.I went in and told him what was happening, and asked if he had a bucket, so I can clean it.He did not blink an eye, and insisted I take care of my matters, and he would clean it.He offered me towels, napkins, whatever I needed.His only concern, was for me to attend to ourself, and he would do the rest.I travel to St. James 2x per week for the unforseeable future, and I will be stopping in for lunch frequently.SIR, I didnt get your name, but I cant thank you enough.You are a model of what every human should be like.Thank you”

“Rocco's might possibly be the best pizza on the North shore area from Smithtown to Setauket. I would include Port Jeff, but that would run into another pillar competitor:) The pizza always has a fantastic crust, the heros always have awesome bread, and great meat fillings. Meatballs are absolutely worth getting. Garlic knots, always full of garlic. The sauce is amazing as well. In the mood for a salad? Always fresh, never brown lettuce. Highly recommend any of their specialty slices, chicken Parm, or baked ziti, even grandma slice. Don't forget about the pasta too! I'll add photos next time I'm there.”

“It is a Chinese restaurant specializing in delivery and takeout. The prices are relatively cheap, the food tastes good and the portions are generous. Fried rice, General Tso chicken, and Lo Mein, fried noodles, are also delicious. Fried rice and noodles made in a wok have a more savory taste due to the added fire flavor.”

“Only one visit so far so I will adjust if need be. Fried rice was top tier for the area. So was the sesame chicken and the lo mein. The wonton soup was pretty standard but the wonton meat was really good. I think it was ginger in there that made them stand out. My only complaint was the large boneless spareribs at 18$ were very fatty. Could have been the batch so I won’t hold that against them unless it happens again.”

The Skirt Steak Fajitas was a standout, featuring a bold and unexpected combination of flavors. The apple empanada with coconut ice cream was the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal.

Our server, Sarah, was exceptional. Her friendly demeanor and attentiveness made us feel right at home. She even recommended the perfect to-go dish for our kids, the churros!
