“Dined with Scot as our server Tues eve. The food was excellent, as it always is, and Scot made sure everything went smoothly. The appetizer came out quickly, and good pace between the app and the main course, which had generous portion and, as noted above, tasted great! He checked with us, and delivered drink refills as needed as well. We had a great time, and will certainly be back.“

“Wanted to give a huge shout out to the Tap Room (Patchogue) (specifically the Patchogue location). We were invited to a family party, buffet-style. I reached out to the restaurant via email, because I wanted to make sure they could accommodate my daughters food allergies -- eggs, soy, sunflower seeds, tree nuts and peanuts, or I would plan ahead and pack snacks she could safely eat instead. The Culinary Director, Joseph Walsh, called me the next day. He spoke to me for awhile, went over her food allergies, made some suggestions, and assured me that he would come up with something she could safely eat. The morning of the party, he sent me an email to confirm we were coming and his suggestions for a safe meal (rice and beans sauteed with bell peppers, chicken cutlet w/ no egg, and a mixed fruit salad). I emailed him back that just rice and beans and the fruit salad would be fine, because she doesn't eat chicken. He emailed me back, concerned that rice and beans and a fruit salad wouldn't be enough, but I assured him it would be fine because she's only 7 and has anxiety over trying new foods at restaurants (understandably), so sticking with rice and beans and fruit salad, which she's comfortable with, would be perfect. At the event, Joseph told my relative that he wanted to talk to us, and when we arrived, he came to introduce himself, told me that he was making sure everything was prepared separately and would be ready for her shortly. Absolutely fantastic service. We truly, truly appreciated all his care and effort, because that's sadly not the norm most of the time when we try to eat out. Thank you Joseph at the Tap Room in Patchogue!“

“I did a take out order at the East Islip location. The food was good but the super melts do not seem to have much meat on them like they use to. If the prices are going up with less portions that’s going to be a problem for Friendly’s. I would hate to see them go out of business because I love Friendlys too!!“

“Had the pleasure of choosing Tara Inn for lunch today, every establishment can learn a lesson from the customer service that my friend and I experienced. Upon walking in we were greeted by Peter, Tara’s husband and son-in-law of the founder who named the bar for his daughter 47 years ago. We told him it was our first visit and he offered us seats and welcomed us. The regulars at the bar guided us through the menu and we each had a burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles for $1 per burger expecting very small burgers we were surprised to find them standard sized and deliciously prepared to medium. My friend had the fried shrimp and I had a $13 steamed lobster! Excellent! They offer daily specials and one of the gentleman at the bar told me their steaks are very good. Every staff person went out of their way to make us feel at home. A charismatic women came out from the back and introduced herself as Tara she thanked us for choosing to lunch there. Why can’t other places realize the importance of making a first time patron feel welcome. I
Had a great afternoon enjoying the excellent variety of beers that they provide on tap. The charming decor has probably changed little since the ‘70s and that adds to the vibe. If you want to go to the friendliest bar on Long Island, head over to Tara Inn.“

“I wasn't sure what to expect when I came here but it was late and I was hungry. The parking lot was small, I actually turned too early and parked in the lot next door, but their lot was empty and I was worried that it wasn't going to be good. I was very happily surprised when I received my food. The fries were excellently seasoned and the burger I got was hearty and filled me up.“

The Sirloin meal is worth every penny.

However, Jasmine - our waitron on 12/08 around 1:25 pm made the visit exceptional.

“The initial bartender was very slow to acknowledge me at the bar - there were only four of us customers at the bar total, so it's not like I was lost in a sea of people. The shift change brought better service. All in all, it was everything I expected from a TGIF. I'd go back.“

“Went on way back from sachem east varsity soccer game, my bestie is assistant coach of girls team. At bk, I got 2 for $5 whopper Jr's., rodeo burger, value fries, chicken jr sandwich n chocolate orep shake, $17 total. Cashier commented that was a good deal for all that food. As if he never rang that combo up before. And as if, we were filming a commercial. With the grab of the bag and shake, the finished product was created. Off I drove, to watch the NY BASEBALL teams play. I remember when value menu was $1, not anymore. Fries were $2.19 and sandwiches $2 n up. Bk is better than McDonald's imo because it seems cooked better. Call it flame broiled, the 2 words seemingly engrained in our collective brains. “This place just does it right! We keep stopping in and diving deeper into the menu and trying different things, we love all of them. Our 11 month old was with us this weekend and our server was awesome with him as well. “Not gonna lie, I was initially skeptical walking into this place. But the food was surprisingly delicious and properly cooked! ?
And the customer service was excellent too.

Although, the bread on my bbq brisket sandwich wasn’t toasted as shown on the website. And the inside either has no A/C or the A/C is broken, which isn’t great during a heatwave. Regardless, I’d still be willing to come back to order again here.“

“I’m writing this review not because it’s family on my Dad’s side that owns the place, but because I have been going to this Ihop since I was a young kid in the late 1980s. Andy and Ellen are phenomenal human beings and really go out of their way to ensure their customers and staff are super happy. The food quality is always top-notch. This is not fast food despite what some people claim.

I frequent here biweekly with friends for breakfast, and I’m never disappointed.

The country fried steak with gravy is so savory and feels like your not on Long island while eating this. Coffee is always fresh which is so enjoyable when eating breakfast anywhere.“

“One of our go to when we could splurge a bit. The fries are always good, so are the burgers, my husband and lil one share a shake. They could or should open up the eating to the lawn next door. A picnic area for this and the donut shop that just opened next door I have not tried yet.

Parking: It shares a lot with pharmacy chain, a donut shop and guitar store.“
