We had high hopes returning to Forno after dining there last summer, sitting at the bar. At that time, although noisy with a busy vibe, the lasagna was so memorable we planned to return. This time we sat in the dining room. It was so noisy it was nearly impossible to carry on a conversation. Most disappointing, was the service. The servers were unfriendly the entire time, beginning immediately after setting the bread down on the table and we were requested butter. We had to ask...
The food and service were excellent. The weird thing was that they seated us at a table that was on such an angle that I had to constantly scoot myself back up to the table. I was sliding backwards the entire meal. THAT kind of ruined it for me. I should have made them move us. The rest of it was excellent.
Table for six near the bar area was very noisy. We were having a hard time hearing each other. Next time if 6 people have them sit along the wall. Or at the other of bar room. Salad was great. Blood Orange martini very good!
