The Saratoga City Tavern

Had a tough day so I figured I’d stop in for a quick drink. One of the bearded guys that works there listened to my sob story about my boyfriend being enlisted into the army .. next thing I know he talked to me for hours and hours it felt . At one point he pulled a beautiful fresh rose out of his infectious beard(no idea he was a magician) oh and the blond behind the bar makes great chocolate espresso martini. I also love the 24 hour bay watch reruns(makes me think about wonderful bubble baths (maybe with one of the bearded gentleman.

After the dinner, went for a drink. This place a great live music. The band was great. Totally enjoyed it. The place was crowded however we managed to go in and the bartender there were very nice, and so were the securities. We did enjoy playing pool, as there was Small section of pool house as well. Will visit soon again.

Used to be my favorite place to be. However, I have genuinely never witnessed more absurdities with the bouncers. Extremely aggressive and hostile over the most outlandish situations. Hasn’t been a night there where I have not witnessed both men and woman grabbed inappropriately or shoved over situations that by no means qualified as being disruptive or dangerous to anyone else or themselves.I personally have never experienced this directly, but witnessing it alone has created an anxiety surrounding trying to walk inside. The service in Saratoga is generally excellent, but the bouncers at this place are creeps and their behavior towards innocent people (especially women)is really uncomfortably hostile and inappropriate. If you want a good night with no problem, just go somewhere else.

Haven't been here in a while when I went during the holidays, and I was so disgusted in the upkeep of this place. Are they still serving food. I would be interested in what the health code enforcement would say about this place. What a dump this place is now. Too bad! The best way to describe, It's like your best friends basement where the entire high school goes to party and no one ever cleaned. It's really sad what the Saratoga bar owners do and don't do.

Scam spot. Aggressive bouncers on the door. You pay a cover to get in and another cover to go upstairs. No refunds even if you walk directly out. Such a good town with better options, avoid. The pair of comedians on the door are in the photo.

8 of us tried to go here. Charged a $10 cover to get in. A little unusual since there was no live music. But we decided to go in because it looked like they had a nice rooftop space. Walked up to the rooftop only to find out there is ANOTHER $10 cover! We decided that wasn't worth it. Since the rooftop was the only reason we went into the bar, we left and asked for our original cover back. Bouncers didn't want to give us anything back. Manager came over, also didn't seem to care but offered to give us half our cover back. Took it and left. Worst place ever

I ha a friend and the security MEN put their hands on her for absolutely no reason. She was just in the door way deciding whether she wanted to stay or leave while her friend was in the bar. They called her a B*tch and pushed her out. UNACCEPTABLE

Terrible. Bar tenders just ignore you. Understaffed. A mess. It might seem like the place to be but the service is terrible. Horrible really.

I used to clean this Place and the bathrooms are above the kitchen on the other 3 floors and when the toilets overflowed it went into the fryer. FYI they still haven’t changed the oil.

Great pub, great pour of Guinness. Fantastic service.

One of the worst experiences of my life. The bouncers should be fired for the horrible job they did at the door. They couldn’t tell a real ID from a fake if their life depended on it. Straight up dump.
