The Saratoga City Tavern

Okay to start off, I brought 10 people to the bar and was told it was a $10 cover per head. One lady that works here said there was no cover and the other said there was. We paid $150 to get in and then got to the roof and was told it is another $5 a head. Absolutely without a thought in my mind, the worst bar I have ever been to. Rude staff, unprofessional, and genuinely just a 1/10 experience. Save your money and get a 30 rack at your local beer distributor.

Most mid bar I have ever been to in my entire life. Staff was rude & we paid $150 in cover fees just to go on the roof. Should be illegal.

The doorman had a terrible attitude and treated guests with no respect

Stopped by for a post race drink at the Rooftop bar, always a great time up there when the weather is nice. Service was friendly and efficient and a great place to enjoy the views... first floor bar is always nice as well, though can't say I was a fan of the DJ or music going on later at night, but will definitely return.

Saratoga City Tavern is hands down one of the best spots in Saratoga. The atmosphere is always lively, the drinks are on point, and the overall vibe never disappoints.

What really sets this place apart though is the service there especially Nick behind the bar. Nick is an absolute pro. He’s quick, attentive, and somehow manages to keep the energy high even when it’s packed. Not only does he make great drinks, but he also knows how to make everyone feel welcome and taken care of. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and it shows in every interaction.

10/10 would recommend every time!

Was on the 1st and 2nd floor and then made my way up to the boom boom room on the 4th floor to end the night. Nick on the second floor did a great job behind the bar and made sure I always had a drink when I was ready for my next one. Great spot to be during the summer.

Can a manager address this post please? I’ve been sober five years. First time going to the tavern. Just moved here. I stepped outside to smoke a cigarette, and the doorman told me that I was too drunk and sorry he couldn’t let me back in. I said uhh I’ve been sober for a few years, and he ignored me. I minded and kept to myself inside, just vibing to the music.

Great place. Eva was extremely friendly and an excellent bartender. Great vibes. Clean. And drinks were good as well. Plenty of TVs too. Eva was playing some great music too. Went on a Monday night, and it was pretty quiet. Didn't get food, drinks only.

Bouncers operate like thugs purposely trying to start confrontations. Also it's crazy this place usually charges a cover

Last night my boyfriend and I attempted to go in the City Tavern which he was banned at 17 due to going in before turning 21.. Tonight at 22 years old.. 5 years later he tries to go in there AFTER being let back in multiple times in the past 5 years and one of the bouncers completely shove him full force into me who has done absolutely nothing wrong at your bar. First of all violence isn’t an answer unless necessary. Especially when he had his hands up getting ready for a pat down so he could go in like usual, he was being compliant causing no issues. I would understand if he was told “you gotta leave” and he caused issues but it was just instant aggression on the bouncers end.. secondly shoving him into me who hasn’t done anything wrong is completely messed up, I am praying I don’t end up with a bruised cheek due to how hard he was shoved.. absolutely a disgusting way to deal with especially my boyfriend was not being an aggressor whatsoever.. completely unnecessary and unacceptable.

Had the best night ever at Saratoga City Tavern with my girlfriends! Huge shoutout to Eva, one of the bartenders, she went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great time and was incredibly accommodating. Can’t wait to come back for the rooftop!

Although I love the people that work there, the Tavern isn't really my go-to place, but as far as the hamburger on the new menu they just dropped, it is now. I ordered the burger to go, not expecting much from a Bar burger, especially on Caroline St, but oh man! What a great burger. There are some great burgers from the downtown restaurants, but in the quality/size/price metric, this is by far the best!!!
