“Richies is always a great place to eat. None of those fancy rolls that some sub shops make with added saw dust. Richie has a bakery make his rolls and he focuses on the meats and cheeses that go inside. I hate a roll that takes away from the taste of the ingredients.
As for his pizzas, it's nearly impossible to find a better pie and I've been in Italy. Those Italian pizzas made me miss America but mostly, miss Richies pizzas.”

“The problem with the service is they make sandwiches right away even if you specify a pickup time. The website order process needs to be changed to add asap option (that they seem to do for all orders) or scheduled pickup.”

“We recently approached the owner of Sammy Cohens (Lisa) with a last minute request to host a small wedding at their restaurant. We will never regret that decision!!!! Lisa met with the Future Bride and Groom, helped them with menu items, decor for the banquet room and worked with them to plan their wedding and reception with less than a weeks notice!!! They prepared the room which looked beautiful, arranged for two servers (Courtney and Will: Love them both to pieces), who were beyond amazing, set up a trellis for a backdrop, decorated the tables and served the MOST amazing food! The experience from the first phone call to the end of the reception was picture perfect! Every single guest commented how great the food was and how beautiful the banquet room looked. Lisa could not have done more for us, she was excited for us and treated us like family. She met with the bride and groom two times before the wedding to ensure everything would be as they hoped, and checked in on the venue. And.....her prices were absolutely amazing!! We have a wonderful gift sitting right here in Schaghticoke and we are lucky to have a nice restaurant where we can go out and eat locally, and it is owned by someone who not only cares about the community, but each individual person who approaches her with a special (and very last minute) request. Lisa, you made their wedding day a perfect memory in their lives!!!”

“We went to Anthonys last night. Meal started out great with the fresh, warm bread and dipping plate. Caprese salad, also excellent! Tuscan chicken and veal marsala were both top notch! Best meal we have had in awhile!”

Service was amazing, the atmosphere is so comfortable and welcoming, staff were attentive and it was easy to tell they're passionate about their food they put out. “We had a funeral June 28 2025 in Waterford and the day before the family decided on having a luncheon after the services. We didn’t think we would find a place and on Graduation weekend made the odds more against it, My husband Tom and Brother in Law Keith stopped in McGrieveys and Terry said he could accommodate us. ( even though we didn’t know how many people.). Terry went above and beyond taking orders, bartending, and bringing out the food. “What an amazing store front all around! My first time going but I’ll definitely be back soon! I got the Rueben and the fried mushrooms. My boyfriend got the chicken parm sub and fries. It was all sooo Delish!! They have everything you could think of and more. They have meals, they have stuff from the kitchen/fried foods. They have subs, of any kind. Hot or cold. They have salads and desserts. You can purchase cheese and meat by the pound.. I’m still flabbergasted by this store! The cleanliness, the service, the prices.. ohhh my!! Stop in. You won’t be disappointed 😊”
