“Richies is always a great place to eat. None of those fancy rolls that some sub shops make with added saw dust. Richie has a bakery make his rolls and he focuses on the meats and cheeses that go inside. I hate a roll that takes away from the taste of the ingredients.
As for his pizzas, it's nearly impossible to find a better pie and I've been in Italy. Those Italian pizzas made me miss America but mostly, miss Richies pizzas.”

“We recently approached the owner of Sammy Cohens (Lisa) with a last minute request to host a small wedding at their restaurant. We will never regret that decision!!!! Lisa met with the Future Bride and Groom, helped them with menu items, decor for the banquet room and worked with them to plan their wedding and reception with less than a weeks notice!!! They prepared the room which looked beautiful, arranged for two servers (Courtney and Will: Love them both to pieces), who were beyond amazing, set up a trellis for a backdrop, decorated the tables and served the MOST amazing food! The experience from the first phone call to the end of the reception was picture perfect! Every single guest commented how great the food was and how beautiful the banquet room looked. Lisa could not have done more for us, she was excited for us and treated us like family. She met with the bride and groom two times before the wedding to ensure everything would be as they hoped, and checked in on the venue. And.....her prices were absolutely amazing!! We have a wonderful gift sitting right here in Schaghticoke and we are lucky to have a nice restaurant where we can go out and eat locally, and it is owned by someone who not only cares about the community, but each individual person who approaches her with a special (and very last minute) request. Lisa, you made their wedding day a perfect memory in their lives!!!”

“Love the morning crew at this location. Rodney, Rachel, Chris, Dorothy, JL, Amber, Noelle until she moved to another store. My hot food is hot my iced drinks are always consistently correct and delicious. Staff is so friendly even when super busy. So glad to have this option in our little town.

“I ordered a cake for my sister’s 30th birthday for around 30 people. I had a great experience from start to finish! I placed the order about 10 days before and it was ready on the day of the party by the time I told them I would pick it up. I submitted an inspiration photo and it was decorated almost identical and then some because it was made into a 2 tier cake. We loved the design and the cake didn’t disappoint either. We ordered a vanilla cake with strawberry preserve in one tier and lemon in the other. Both were delicious! The frosting is very light and not overly sweet and the cake itself was very moist. The cake was a little pricey..over $100 but for a special occasion I feel it was worth it! She told me the price upfront so there were no surprises. Overall, I would definitely order from them again and will have to try the other desserts and cake flavors!”

For dessert I had a pistachio ricotta pie that was out of this world. Highly recommend checking Anthony’s out asap. Great new space too, I had only been to the original restaurant. Love the addition of the salad bar too!”

Even though it was busy I noticed her being very attentive to other customers.. esp refilling drink, in which you dont see waitress do these days. “We had a funeral June 28 2025 in Waterford and the day before the family decided on having a luncheon after the services. We didn’t think we would find a place and on Graduation weekend made the odds more against it, My husband Tom and Brother in Law Keith stopped in McGrieveys and Terry said he could accommodate us. ( even though we didn’t know how many people.). Terry went above and beyond taking orders, bartending, and bringing out the food. We Thank you Terry and McGrieveys staff for accommodating us on such short notice and a difficult day for our family. The Brown family”

“We love the RB, going there, the music, etc. Food is very good, great pizza. Recently did take out of 2 melts, delicious. Couple things though... 1) really really irks me when anyone i'm paying doesnt say thanks, thank you, etc. It was take out, I even gave a nice tip. Say thank you - goes a long way. 2) fries were Ok, not great, pasty and just eh, 3) salad greens were disgusting. Inedible, tasted like they were in dirty water, and 4) parking lot was thrashed. this was sat, so cleanup from friday should've been done. Empty bottles, cans, etc. Gross. We'll go back, but it will be a bit.”
