On August 22, 2021 my husband & I threw a cookout for my son who was visiting from Houston.
We asked our longtime friend Frank Brown of Frank’s Caribbean Fire Grill to cater for 25 people.
We had been keeping our eyes toward the sky due to the threat of hurricane Ida. Our backyard was tented & tarped & we even called Frank at the last minute to move the time to an earlier time, starting at noon instead of 2 pm, which Frank readily agreed to. Needless to say...read full review
I visited Frank’s three times in the past two weeks. Unfortunately consistency is not one it’s strong points. Each time I went not only price wasn’t consistent but it was the portions. They tried to cover up the burnt Mac and cheese with an oxtail . The cabbage was under cooked and the oxtail wasn’t enough to taste .
I believe in supporting Black Owed Businesses but they need to consistent. Unfortunately I probably won’t be returning to Franks’s.

While the atmosphere may be simple, the food and value more than make up for it, making this restaurant a hidden gem worth visiting.
