Their chana masala is top tier, and so are their saag paneer and vegetable samosas. For dessert, definitely go for the rice pudding. I’ve ordered here several times and it never disappoints!“

“I went to Shalimar Express today. The place is great, I like their traditional welcoming Pakistani decor. Their food is amazing. We got their Shami Kabaab paratha roll, samosa chaat, fresh veggie pakora, Kashmiri chai, and mango lassi. It’s one of the best places to get Pakistani fast food in the Capital Region. Highly recommend! The Kashmiri pink chai with their veggie pakora was perfect after spending the day out in the cold. Must try!“

“I can't forget that Peshewari Naan and Bombay Aloo. Two awesome items with perfect balance of spice. They asked us the spice level we would prefer. This is something indian restaurants usually do not ask. Loved that part. Two other items were onion naan (was good) but the Mughlai chicken, something was off about it. It could be the balance of sweet or the salt was not right. I felt like I am eating a thik gravy. I believe the tea was over brewed and to balance it more milk was poured in. That's just an opinion as I know taste of tea is very subjective. Besides all of this the portion of one order was good for two. I think they are underrated by themselves. I would recommend them to change the whole seating arrangement. Also, update your restaurant name to Ahmed Restaurant. It was hard to find it.Spend $36 for two. (1. “This is the best buffet money can buy and the best Indian food money can buy. I’m an omnivore but if I ever had to be vegetarian I couldn’t do it without eating spicy mint every day. I’ll frequently fill up completely on vegetarian options and be completely stuffed and satisfied. There is no other option if you are craving Indian food. The ingredients are fresh and peak of flavor. The goat is unbelievably perfect and so is every chicken dish. I love this place and you can taste their love for what they do in the food, and smell it when you walk through the door. Flavor over load!“
