“Pumpernickels Deli is an absolute gem—a small, cute spot that’s impressively clean with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff, mostly younger folks, are delightful, efficient, and incredibly organized. They’re also so sweet when answering questions, making the experience feel personal and inviting.
On this visit, I ordered a simple bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, and it was perfect. Sometimes it’s the basics that say the most, and Pumpernickels delivered. I’m also seriously considering trying their catering next because everything I saw looked so fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared.
This place easily outshines Bagel Express down the street. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by—you won’t be disappointed!“

“I've been getting my salads from Lake Deli for many years. I use to live in Medford now in Bohemia. It's over 45 minutes round trip but this is the only place that has the best salads I've tried other Delis. Just not the same. My sister loved them too whenever I went to Pennsylvania I had to bring 2 or more lbs.of potatoes“

“Love Yaroa, hate driving to the city. The best Yaroa wasn’t in the city though, it’s a 15 min drive from me at bueno deli 2 🩷 just like they make them in the DR :)
Also noticed they carry a lot of Dominican products I can’t find at other stores! So glad to have found this place while door dashing“

“Stopped for a quick bite on the way to an appointment. Let’s just say it was the best stop ever! Service was amazing! Food was amazing! Just was going to grab egg sandwich’s! Which by the way come with homemade ice tea, lemonade or oj, come to find out a very nice gentleman had come out from the back and said next time we come we need to try the empanadas! He had just made them and well we can’t say no to an empanada fresh made!!! Well let’s just say they barely made it to the car, had to go back in and let him know how good they were!! Everything was delicious and we will most definitely be back!! Filling and delicious!!“

“Whenever it is takeout the food is DELICIOUS, even though the owners are Dominican, the cooks are from Hidalgo, Mexico and their Mexican food is top quality and good seasoning and the price is regular, it really is not that expensive for how delicious it is. this!!! ??, I RECOMMEND IT!!!“

They also should make sure they clean the grill and use a side that is specifically for cooking eggs only, one time my sandwich tasted like bacon and I am vegetarian.“

“I dont know if its their signature sandwich but my folks have been taking me to The Wunderbar for breakfast sandwiches for years. I always get 2 eggs over medium with bacon and cheese. They are very consistent, always delicious and use about a pound of bacon per sandwich. I look forward to it every time I visit.“

“I just ordered the Ballfield-Chicken Cutlet, Bacon, Melted Swiss, Onion Rings, Russian dressing on Garlic Hero , It was the best Hero I have had in a long time. It was packed with Cutlets and was so filling I ate half then a few hours later ate the other half. I will def go back for another order soon.“
