“I live very close to a pizza place that held high accolades for a long time, but sadly has gone downhill lately. I am happy to say I've found Selden restaurant! Every single thing we have ordered from them has been fresh and delicious. Their bolognese sauce even had peas in it, which most places, it's just meat sauce.The hot heroes have been perfect. The portions are Only smaller because of having to order salad on the side; if you don’t put it down the portions are indeed smaller, I was also given enough sauce for two familys! “We have been coming here for as long as I can remember. The staff has always been incredibly friendly and nice. It's always such a pleasure if we're with 2 people or 10. Not all Greek restaurants out on Long Island have Bifteki. I opted for the Bifteki (Beefteki) bowl over Greek salad! And their warmed pita bread with the seasoning on it is so good. I got them doordashed and they were still so hot, double wrapped with a soft corn shell so they didn’t get soggy, and then individually wrapped in tin foil. “I turned the car around because the sign said "dollar oysters." Worth every second doing so and every penny. Apparently this is a Tuesday special and if you're not into oysters, they also do clams. I grabbed a seat at the bar. Cassie, the bartender was friendly, super efficient and convinced me into 10 more oysters after my initial order of 15. They were cold and fresh, and came with all the fixings. Their mingonette was all I really needed. I saw a few other dishes coming out of the kitchen and they all looked great. A few folks at the bar got some healthy looking pours and the mussels smelled divine. Totally worth stopping in.“
