Where do I even begin, Elaine’s might be the best experience we have had at a restaurant, period the end! We had Debbie as our host, who was very kind and attentive, she had top tier suggestions for any kind of food, cigars, and atmosphere we were searching for. We also met a wonderful couple at the bar who were super friendly and gave us some great tips for when we attend the US Open. Not since its days as Metropolis has this location been this chic, delicious, and fun. Enzo and Elaine have established a warm and elegant atmosphere that tastes as good as it is relaxing to visit - especially the lovely patio and courtyard in the summer months. After three visits I’ve been consistently impressed by both the food and service. Elaine’s is our new go-to for a special occasion or a random treat.
The atmosphere is stunning, the staff wonderful and great service. However the clams oreganata not so good. The top was dry, burnt and tasted dry and burnt. We only tried 2 and when the waiter came by we had him take it off the table and he never asked why we hadn't eaten much of it. That would have been the right thing to do.
