The best Szechuan food I’ve ever had

We were in the mood for Chinese food but didn't want to drive far. Came across this place on Yelp and while it is considered as a Szechuan restaurant, they also offer Chinese main dishes which I am sure will be right up my son's alley. I ordered the chicken with broccoli for him and it looked pretty good. My son did make a comment that he felt the sauce was a tad too sweet. To him, this was just average. I ordered the shredded pork with dried bean curd. I really enjoyed this dish as the portion is great and I could taste each component. We also got the fried pork dumplings which was not what I expected and could have been fried a bit more. All in all, very generous portion and I loved my dish while my son felt it was just alright. All this plus 2 cartons of rice for around $38...that's pretty darn good. Overall, will give this place 3 strong stars and I would see myself going back.

Wonderful authentic Chises food. If you are looking for Egg Foo Young and Chowv Mein, keep driving. 3 pepper chicken and Basso Fillets. Worth many return trips

If you want Szechuan Cuisine, this is the right place. It tastes authentic on the tongue and the beef noodles on the appetizer menu will inform you of what this restaurant serves without spending a lot of money. Unfortunately, the Szechuan spices find their way onto the Chinese-American section of the menu and disrupt a takeout classic. In my opinion, they would hands-down serve the best Sesame Chicken, Chicken and Broccoli, etcetera in the area (and possibly Long Island in general) if they kept those spices out of the equation. My disappointment about that is why I am rating it only 4/5.I can tell this restaurant mainly serves other Chinese, but if they want to expand their customer base they will need to adapt flavors to local tongues. If they do correct the seasonings on the American menu, I full-heartedly say that I would make this my go-to Chinese takeout restaurant.Fair Warning: The American Menu items DO NOT include rice. You need to order it seperately. I didn't know that and was quite disheartened when I got home. I thought it was included in the quite high purchase price.

The BEST thing about this place for me is that I feel physically better after eating here than at any other Chinese place. I hear the food is very authentic, as opposed to more Americanized Chinese food, and I'm assuming that means more reasonable use of sugar, salt, oil, etc...all the things restaurants use to lure us in. You do have to take a way one star if you get upset struggling a bit with the menu. Mostly Chinese people & their friends eat here, and the translations of dishes can be a little limited. We found the hot pot fun, but a little expensive, and not our favorite dish. The soup dumplings are fantastic (they take about 15 minutes, so order them first or you'll get them mid meal). There's a stir fried potato strip dish with hot peppers that's addictive (potatoes are al dente, so that's odd for Americans, but delicious). My favorite so far is their Vegetable Mu Shu (which is actually Mu Shu with Pork) and a dish of pork strips with five spice tofu that I can't remember the name of. The sauteed string beans are great...we paid a little extra to add shrimp. Portions aren't huge and the place isn't fancy, but the food looks, tastes and FEELS great. The owner has been there a few times when we were and he was very nice. He explained dishes to us and even came over to instruct us on how to eat the soup dumplings without burning ourselves. Like several of the newer authentic Chinese places the portions are sometimes a little smaller, the prices for some things are a bit more, and they don't serve rice with the meal...though you can get rice separately. Since the pandemic we've only done take out, but it was very good too. I can't wait to be able to go back in person!

Very authentic. Closest taste to the real thing I can find outside of China.

Ordered take out but the front desk refused to give tableware.

10/24/21: 2/5, update on order before Thanksgiving: horrible. Totally understand their are rushing all the orders due to the holidays. The taste worth at most 2 stars when they are rushing. It even makes me questioning whether they have two chiefs that cooks in different ways. My suggestion would be to order on some non-busy days or non-rushing hours, you will have a much better version.09/26/21: 3/5, Spicy Szechuan dishes provided here. Their best dish used to be tomato eggs. To be honest, I believe they can earn a 5 star for the taste but the quality is just 3 stars for now. I will reserve the 3 stars until my next visit if their quality improves. They provided delivery on UberEATS with a free dish after you spend $30 as promotion. Now they also provide dine in option and it is not crowded. If you love spicy, I would recommend golden soup with beef and mushroom. If you are not a fan of spice, try the tomato eggs(best in nearby area). They also provide crispy rice which is not common among nearby Chinese restaurants. Now let's come to the quality of the food. If you are lucky, you will get a juicy tomato egg with soups at the bottom and you will love it. I was unlucky. Take a look at the one attached in the photo, the tomato is barely cooked and kept their original shape. Some of they are even cold when they come to the table. My friend loves the tomato egg as mush as me but he found a piece of eggshell. Besides, the chicken wings have such an authentic sauce that I must regret that the inside of the wings has no taste.I understand that they are busy with all the orders. But I do regret that they have the ability to provide good dishes maybe just with a few minutes more. Previous experience with Little Szechuan was good and I sincerely hope they can be better in the future.

I ordered "Spicy fried chicken with red pepper" and it was just red pepper. There were tiny pieces of chicken but mostly bones... never go to this restaurant!

The food here isn't good, and the service is even worse. From the looks of it, very scuzzy "restaurant" - we ordered food from here and my husbands dish wasn't even edible, they chopped up chicken so fine with little pieces of bone in each that you weren't even eating any meat just sucking small pieces of bone. We basically wrapped up the whole thing and the woman had the nerve to charge us extra for side of small fried rice at the price of $13.. that's not a small. I honestly feel like going back and showing them the whole left over fried chicken rice- and ask how can you make something like this? Very disappointing and the woman running the place a laughing joke
