Service was excellent once I sat at table. Grilled chicken sandwich was very good. My only complaint (not that bad) was I stood around for a while before I was told to sit anywhere. I would recommend for lunch.

I love this place. Went there for lunch on the way back to Dering Harbor from Sunset Beach on an incredibly hot day. Sat on a beautiful porch at the top of the hill /golf course, and enjoyed some very good fish tacos with a beautiful view and lovely breeze. Give it a try!

No fancy recipes but simple American inspired cooking! Portions are rather smallish compared to usual "Great American sizes". Has the golf ⛳️ course to ponder on while awaiting for food to arrive. Very hardworking staff at the tables.Parking: Ample parking spots in and around the club.

Had dinner with family here tonight. Nice menu many options most of them geared toward fish. Service was good and food was yummy. Clams in broth for appetizer and lollipop lamb chops were delicious. My crabcakes for entrée with mango salsa was very good as was the burger and the tuna entree with broccolini. My husband's pasta was just OK though.Desert of strawberry shortcake and tiramisu with a cup of coffee hit the spot . Nice place .

Hidden gem! You go to Shelter Island and ask where to eat and you'll hear the same few places over and over. Not sure why no one ever says Flying Goat, maybe because it's off the beaten path. Im not quite sure. I decided to go to Flying Goat with some friends who came to visit for the weekend and so glad I did. Food, service and view were all spectacular. Prices were not over priced like other places on the island. Menu was very diverse as well. Options for all. Highly recommend.

There are many good items on this menu (juicy hamburgers, delicious french onion soup to name a few) but I am addicted to the crab cakes! And the view!!

There is nothing like dinner on the covered porch during the warmer months. The menu changes often and the distant water views cannot be beat. Always friendly and always easy and fun. I do wish they offered a local wine choice but they do offer some great local beers.

I went here today with my two kids and husband. I ordered the lobster roll for my son which was supposed to be 30.00 as it said on the menu. After we ate and got the check, I noticed the bill said 37.00 for the lobster roll. I told the waitress and she said she would check with the manager. The manager told the waitress that the menu was old and there was nothing she could do about it. I was kind of upset as I think that I would never have ordered it if I would have known how much it was !!! i Didn't want to make a scene since I felt uncomfortable so I paid the bill and now I'll never go back there or recommend that place to anyone.
