“Ok, you've got my attention. I've been going from DD to DD all over Suffolk County over the last 3 months, in search of the ever elusive classic Boston Cream. But, a little about me first. It all started when my father introduced me to this delectable confection at the young age of 6. Now skip ahead to 2019.......As you may have deduced, my favorite donut is the DD Boston Cream. I'm sure it's yours too. If not, I can understand why. The great majority of DD's over the past several years have been messing with the dough to custard ratio. Nowadays you bite into a Boston Cream anywhere on LI only to discover that you've been swindled, hoodwinked, bamboozled, run amuck! It's no longer about "where's the beef?". It's about "where's the custard?" Many a time has come to pass where I take my first bite, to discover not a drop of custard in that bite. So, I lift up my chin, and bravely take a second bite, and a third. To my disappointment, still no custard. On the fourth bite I get all of a teaspoon of custard. Oh, what a joyful momen.....wait, I just got scammed. This is not the Boston Cream I grew up with, where every bite would ooze with decadent cream made by the angels in heaven. No. This is the Boston Cream of a franchise owner who is cutting everywhere he can to be able to pay the rent to his corporate donut masters. And, now back to this DD in Smithtown on 347. Some how, this genius of an owner has managed to...dare I say... sneak a few extra globs of custard into these Boston Creams. He is brave. He is kind. He is my hero. If you've never tried a Boston Cream in Suffolk County, try it here. They are heavy with the holy nectar direct from the kitchen of the all mighty himself, and almost as good as the ones in NYC. Yeah, you don't mess around with the BC in NYC or you can get your a** killed son!“

“A group of us came here on a Sunday around 12:30 after some time in Hecksher Park 10 minute ride away close and convenient for the ride home. The bartender let us try anything on the board, and one of our friends was part of the Hidden Treasure Secret Society, he got a free flight (hiddentreasureli.com). We were definitely an eclectic crew in terms of drinks and not one person was disappointed. I had the Dub Club 2023 a hazy IPA most delicious. Another a pink looking sour, super sour for my taste but my bestie loved it. The first hot dog with sauerkraut, mustard, and ketchup was a classic delight, while the second with cheese and onion sauce was rich and satisfying. The third, topped with chili, cheese sauce, and bacon, was an indulgent treat. Paired with chips and a soda for $14.00. The employees working inside are delight to talk to, and will tell you stories of the truck. I Highly recommended!“

“Never disappointed by TBC. I love the variety on their menu - often different styles of beer from anything else I typically run into at a craft brewery. The space is super roomy, industrial yet comfortable, with plants everywhere, video games, darts, fooseball and other activities. Staff is quirky and fun - we usually go to visit Ashley on Wednesdays and it’s always a great time. There’s often a killer food truck parked outside, and we always make it a point to attend Sundaze at the brewery, the last Sunday of every month - such an awesome weed-friendly event. Don’t sleep on this place - the down-to-earth atmosphere and delicious brews will keep you coming back for more.And to the male Karen (would that be a Chad?) whining about them closing for private events down below - grow up. “I found this place after visiting Sayville on business and seeing my “normal” spot closed, gave this place a try. Ignore the lower rating. These nice owners just took over the business Sept 2023. You can order any egg sandwich with bagel or roll options. They also have omelettes, pancakes and baked goods. Prices and service are both very good. The staff is very friendly. The quality of the food is outstanding - had the egg bagel special one day and a Western Omelette the next. The omelette comes with a bagel all for only $7.99. This will be my new “go to” bagel / breakfast place when I am in town. I highly recommend you give them a try. Look at the reviews since they have owned it from Sept 2023 to current day.“

“Went New Year’s Eve had an awesome meal off their special menu. Started off with a nice glass of German resiling wine, Shades of Blue, excellent! Then for appetizer had the crab cakes, loaded with crab topped with Aioli sauce, best I’ve ever had. Then had the fillet mignon with lobster tail, fillet had a good amount of gristle in the middle that I had to work around, other than that it was very good. Lobster tail was presented and seasoned very well in some sort of marinated butter, wine and garlic which I thought was top notch of flavor and tenderness. Came with the mash potatoes another good choice some of the best made. I can’t forget their delicious homemade multi grain bread which was very good. For last desert opted for the Crème Brûlée topped off with fresh made whipped cream, awesome. Let me also mention about our waitress very friendly and accommodating, great customer service.Overall had a very enjoyable and unforgettable experience at Nantucket's other than the fillet not being completely satisfied I give it the Cardillo Scale Rating Review of 4.8 out of 5. “The last time I went to an Ice Cream store that provides their own custom flavors was in Carey, North Carolina. This store is located in a small strip mall with ample parking. From what I read; Ice Cream Social has several flavors of ice cream along with vegan flavors. They do have traditional flavors such as vanilla, chocolate, and cookie dough, but they are constantly designing new flavors. I tried many flavors before choosing the pumpkin pie flavor ice cream. But I did also like the apple cider donut and Coco Almond Joy. Next time I will explore other interesting creations. The staff was kind enough to afford me the opportunity to taste many creative flavors. It was not easy to settle on just one flavor. I recall a family member explaining to me what it takes to create these interesting flavors, and he stated it is all in the Cream mix. If you want to enjoy high quality ice cream with many creative flavors, one must indulge in Ice Cream Social.“
