Yes, the food was worth to drive from the west side of Rochester to the salt box. My wife brought home dinner from the Saltbox Smokehouse. It was literally the best meal we have had in months. The brisket was superb, the macaroni and cheese was great, and the Greek pita was excellent. We were amazed to find such a superb restaurant nestled into a small town. We hope to get food from there.

I had the brisket, salt potatoes, and the baked beans, my partner had the two hand pulled pork sandwich, and the bacon mac and cheese and also the salt potatoes; hands down it was the best BBQ we’ve had in NY in ages!!We pulled up at 4pm and beat the dinner rush, the service was awesome and our food was out to us within 10 mins (they were clearly ramping up for the dinner rush, as told by the near nonstop pre-order calls they took kept rolling in).Definitely worth the drive....read full review
