Le Charlot Reviews
some food was very good. steak au poivre was excellent. the salad nicoise was canned tuna with some veggies so overpriced. service depended on who was waiting on you. very skimpy bloody mary..had to ask for lemon and to fill up the glass.
Great French Cuisine on Main Street in Southampton Village
My fave resto in Southampton I don’t know why it’s not packed all the time. Consistently good I love the poached salmon they have on the seasonal menu. Also on the sunny side of the street. I read some of the negative reviews and seriously think they’re trolls. I’ve never had cold, gross food here. Le Charlot offers delicious food in a nice setting with sidewalk tables. The service is usually friendly and energetic, although it can sometimes be overwhelmed on busy nights, leading to minor mistakes with orders. The restaurant provides good value with its off-season prix-fix menu and reasonably priced wine. The regular menu may be pricey, but the portions are adequate and the food is tasty. Guests often enjoy the well-prepared, mostly delicious dishes, though service can sometimes be slow or inconsistent, and issues like incorrect drinks or plates not being removed promptly have been noted. The voice preparation and overall flavors are appreciated, but the coffee has occasionally been disappointing. The lunch selection remains popular, but dinner menus can be limited, offering mainly salmon steak and chicken, which may disappoint some diners. Despite some flaws, Le Charlot remains a pleasant dining experience worth revisiting.
