My steak (requested medium) was very tasty but it was dry except in the middle. The Caesar salad was very good, but the sides (mashed potatoes and mac and cheese) tasted like they came from a box.Service was not responsive despite the dining room not being extremely busy. They did not refill our water glasses, and I had to ask for a steak knife for my steak!By the way, be aware that the prices are about 50% higher than those in the menu photos. It’s understandable that prices have gone up, but the food and service were not acceptable at these prices.

Unfortunately, this gorgeous place was totally empy, We were the only couple for lunch. It is such a cozy a welcoming place, I fell bad for the owner. But he said, they are busy at nights. I wish them luck. Our steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection. The waiter was very attentive and professional. We will definitely be coming back.

I really like this place. I was between two cuts of meat. They brought out two cuts raw on a plate and explained the difference. I'm a big steak guy, and I was impressed with this level of service.

Restaurant was really nice. Definitely smaller than what it looks like from outside. Quick to sit us down. Steak was good but not made the way we ordered. Husband ordered medium and it was undercooked. My filet mignon was dry. Could've used something on top but nothing was offered. The baked potato was bland and again, nothing else was offered to put on top. They did have tasty desserts.

WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! We are foodies and regularly dine at River Palm in Edgewater and Peter Lugers in Brooklyn, so we don't mind paying top dollar for a quality steakhouse. However, Sparkill's overpriced, low-quality steak was burnt to a crisp on the outside and completely RAW on the inside. Moreover, there was more fat than actual meat. The littleneck clams smelled like they sat in the sun for a week, the bland sides tasted like they were frozen mush, and there was a 400% markup on the bottled wine prices. To make matters worse, there was an infestation of flies in the main dining room. The owners, Sal and Carlo, are both extremely arrogant, as well as nasty and condescending to their customers. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!

Everything was good. I ordered a NY strip, they gave me a ribeye. + $10.00. I've notice that it seems to be the new trend in steakhouses. One problem is that the prices on the online menu are about 20% less than the in house menu.

BEWARE!!! The owner is extremely rude and disrespectful. If you want to be treated like a second class citizen, book a table at Sparkill Steakhouse. If not, stick with River Palm Steakhouse in Edgewater, which is far superior and equally priced.

The only customers there at lunchtime, waited about 45 mins for two soups, an hour or so for the two chicken salads, I was surprised of wait time for these items. Was handed a dinner menu rather than a lunch menu, obviously more expensive. Chicken salad was overpriced, chicken was a bit dry. At least the server was friendly and salad was ok.

Sparkill Steakhouse never disappoints. They are great at what they do and steaks always come out perfectly cooked to how we ordered them. The staff is outstanding and very attentive.

Extremely underwhelming and very expensive, definitely wouldn't go back there is much better steakhouses in NJ that taste better and are cheaper, I got 2 steaks that had no flavor and was still cold in the middle, the service wasn't good and they weren't even busy. The inside is very nice and cozy and is very well designed.

Our experiences at Sparkill Steakhouse are always excellent - from our arrival, making us feel comfortable, never rushing us to order or drink or eat, and having plenty of servers to enhance our dining.

Checked online and specified lunch menu available until 4. We arrived at 1:30 and were handed dinner menus with prices double the online lunch menu. Decided to stay since we had wanted to try this place. Service was attentive and polite. My filet mignon was a bit undercooked but okay. My husband’s sirloin was cooked properly for medium well. A funny thing I noticed when we stood up to leave our clothes were covered in white lint from the tablecloth and/or the napkins! Never had this happen before! Glad we finally checked it out but not worth $200 for lunch or dinner.

An excellent steak house with great fish also. We went with friends who had never been here and they were quite pleased with everything they ate. We will definitely bring friends to dine here in the future.
